June 27th 2014 Introduction: My name is Alex and I live in St Louis Missouri. I really like a lot of things but lots of the things I’m heavily involved with are music, theatre, basically anything that’s the Arts. I play 3 instruments mainly. Flute, Oboe, and Alto Saxophone. Oboe is my instrument that I like the most though, I get lots of solo’s and as of recent I got the head solo for West Side Story and Set Fire to the Rain. I’ve moved a lot as well. From Liverpool to Owasso to St Louis this year. It’s been rough I know, but my life changed for the better meeting new people, new friends, and it’s been a great year so far!

Growing up I’ve been obsessed with Singing and theatre as well. It all started in 6th grade whenever I got the role of Kurt Von Tropp in The Sound of Music at Owasso Public. The role I can easily say changed my life, learning about the annexation of Austria and cruel treatment to other, at that time I was a pretty mean person, not a lot of people liked me because of my view on lots of stuff, but after that I learned nobody can be cruel to anyone, It’s not right. As of right now I haven’t really done a ton of theatre and I have a lot of time on my hand.

As far as my Meep life goes, I joined in 2014, I was Silverleaf2001 and at the time I was still pretty toxic, I trolled, I hurt people, and I did a lot of things that I wasn’t proud of. I stopped playing for a while, and I rejoined in late November of 2015. I was welcomed of course by our very own helper ForteMizuki, she was really sweet and she healed lots of past wounds and taught me what it was like to be a better person. I’ve met lots of new people that are so cool, For example: _Peridonyx_ , Ninja, Leah, and so many others. You guys are the best :).

I started my first shop on Christmas break, it was small , and it was almost like starbucks, overpriced, and not worth the money. However, it was lots of fun to run. I met Queen, Silver, Peper, and Cat. IiTzJDL were a part of the thing as well. This really sparked my passion for the server. There were good people that really liked me. Why should you be Helper? Empathy…. I have an uncle who has down syndrome, and he is amazing. Many people think that just because someone has something wrong with them they don’t count fully as a person, that just because they look different they are different. I don’t see things that way. People are people, and I know that nobody wants to be hurt, feel sad or anything negative. There are lots of things going on at school that I try and help with. As of recent there was a girl in my class who committed suicide. I was with the parents for a long time because I know how it feels to lose someone, my grandfather. My empathy skills have improved so much after the loss of him, and I believe I can use it for the better on meepcraft. I know how people feel on a lot of things because I’ve certainly been through a lot, therefore helping me connect more emotionally with the community

Kindness- Being kind to everyone is something you have to be, especially in order to be a helper. There are so many people who can try to get you down, but as my mother used to say “Kill them with kindness” and trust me I know I slip up, I’ve hurt people before. But haven’t we all? I know what it’s like to be kind, so many people have taught me, and I reflect their example’s as best as I can. I’m involved in a lot of activities at school, Band especially. I help people learn all the fingerings they need to excel in band. I also do after school tutoring for math, I’m a pretty good teacher. Kindness is key, which is something that i’m definite that I have. As Anne Frank once said “in spite of everything, I truly believe, that people really are good at heart” this describes my view on kindness. You can put me down, hurt me, but I will never, ever, stop being kind to you.

Helpfulness…

As I mentioned I do after school tutoring, I don’t charge, that would be kind of worthless. I’m a peer myself, if my classmates are struggling they need help. With MAP tests approaching rapidly, I’m tutoring most of my friends in math, science, and ELA. Most of them had C’s and B’s before I started and they are all at high B’s or A’s now. I excel at school, always have for some reason, I’m gifted, and I need to use that gift for others.

I help as much as possible on meep. If anyone needs a question answered I’m definitely there to lend a hand. I try to catch them as they come but sometimes I don’t see them. I’m a 2 year veteran and I’m very knowledgeable about the server. I know some valuable commands, almost all of them. While I don’t know everything, I certainly know a lot, that’s yet another thing that makes me believe I very capable of being a helper

Maturity.

When I first made my application I was very immature. I was told to work on this and I definitely have. I see things so differently these days, I’m not a child anymore. Sure I crack jokes, some of them immature, I use ;-; and

That doesn’t make me less mature than i am.

Taking Critisism.

I'm pretty good at this. I take everybody's views into consideration and I know what people are talking about whenever they say something. After years of taking this from my teacher I'm learning to take everything in, I've desensitized myself from brutal honesty or just brutal comments. Because I know what people are talking about, I know exactly what their purpose is, to help me! I was really emotional about the comments on my first app but I've gotten so much better at taking what I'm dished out, and unlike many candidates, making a change. I've heard lots of comments saying that “I'm fake” or “you aren't being yourself” I'll be honest and tell you flat out that I am. I made a change to improve upon myself, I changed for myself. And I'm pretty proud of how far I've come. I'm good at reflecting on myself.

Respect.

No. I do not “suck up” or “worship” staff members. I'm used to respecting authority and the staff are the higher authority here. I respect my teachers for what they do and I respect helpers for what they do, simple as that. They aren't the only people I respect. I respect all of my friends as equal as I respect anyone. Everyone is equal. That's how I like to be treated, with respect, I'm not a naïve child anymore, I know my place.

Determination.

I've got the drink and the drive to get things done. I've been determined to better myself, I believe I have. I keep reapplying because I know that I can handle this position, and all the stress it applies.

I've made it my personal effort to do good in school. I'm 2 years ahead of my freshman class in math and science. I have maintained a 4.0 gpa despite all the homework and stuff I have. I maintain a good playtime and study balance. My grades have not fallen below A’s in over 2 years. I'm suma-cum-laude this year if my freshman class, along with my best friend for the girls. I have got determination. I'm determined to be a pharmacist. I'm determined to be a good person.

I'm determined to make meepcraft a great place.

Leadership

I'm a leader at heart most definitely. I get solos in band. I'm in national Jr honors society as community leader. I'm class president for the freshmans. So many people have encouraged me to be a leader Anne Frank, Martin Luther King Jr. Taylor swift. My mother. I'm capable of doing great work, I can be a leader. I am capable of being a leader and having a position in the staff team for it.

What I think I could bring to the team..

1.I'm a kind, empathetic person. Who takes everybody's views into account

2.I can dish out, and take in good criticism.

3.I'm not shy at all. If you are having trouble talk to me. I can help

4.I can lead a team to victory, as I have in the past.

5.I can be mature and collected when I need to be, but that doesn't make me less fun or playful.

6.I respect everyone, and don't judge anyone.

7.I'm determined to be the best person that I can be. I better myself so others can see. I change only for better, not for worse.

I struggle with this every day. I'm a very sensitive person, and I'm improving on this. After my grandpa died I realized I needed to be strong. I needed to be strong to honor him. However, it does get me down sometimes. When I'm preparing for a rough test, maybe I'm being bullied at school. I don't cry. I'm not a baby. But I so have feeling that can come loose like a hurricane. People are helping me move past it. My mom. Brother. Forte, Madison, Roxy, Window. Everyone. My emotions aren’t meant for sadness, they're meant for joy. To see the beauty in everything. I'm moving past it for sure, and I'm learning to love myself more every single day. As taylor swift once said. Shake it off :). I know in my heart that I'm me and I can be who I want if I want.

Drama

I'm a very dramatic person, it's true. I'm into drama and I've played some serious parts, Peter van daan for example. I gossip way more then I should, it's rude and obviously immature. I used to think it's OK, but it's not. It's not because I know if I said it to their face it would hurt. And I can't do that. People are so much better than that and I should be like them too. I try not to be dramatic or release all my emotions upon people because that isn't fair for them, or other. I don't tell secrets though, that's just flat out wrong. If you tell me a secret. It means you trust me, I don't break trust. However, school drama gets me into a rush and a feel of importance, I don't love the drama, I hate it actually. But I do cause it accidentally. Just a warning.

Impulsive

I'm a rather impulsive person, I act on thought and don't really look at what I do and I make decisions quick. I have time to think about what I say or do. I've broken friendships with this. I've been mean to lots of people. I used to be such good friend with pmx until I hurt him. Im such a hothead it's unbearable. I feel so terrible about everyone I've hurt. It's not just pmx. I can't tell you how many people I've shut down, said evil things too, or been unbearable with. I make my decisions fast, like I'll think a store is a good idea then I forget about it and realize it wasnt a good idea after all. Or maybe I type a joke in chat and after all it was a bad idea. I need to take more time before I put these into actions. Maybe introspect some more, and definitely take some time to think.

Trust in friends.

Lots of you have seen, I'm really close to my friends, not to say I would be bias and not answer a modreq unjustly. But I do have faith in my friends. I don't usually expect my friends to do something and get banned. But it happens, we’re all humans. But it would be so sad for me to see myself ban a close friend of mine that I've known for a while.

Confusion.

I'm easily confused, especially if it's in long words that I don't know exactly. I get confused with some commands and forget some rules and I have to go over the meep rules to make sure I've got it right. If you tell me something and I don't understand I might act like I know and do it wrong or screw it up. It makes me upset whenever I have to ask 4-9 times if I did something right. Or a what did you say? But I need to understand I need to ask questions to become a good helper.
