Ok where to start.

Voting notes since thats easy. Voting was 4 times per day, 2k each.
After looking at how money was introduced into a/b it turns out that voting is 2,920,000 per year, per player.

Thats way to high with the current economy. I understand that it takes away from the point of voting, but I have a few good ideas for vote rewards including items, more notes, and temporary perks such as a custom title note. These will be implemented asap but are not as high a priority as other fixes currently on trello. PLEASE Pm me if you have some cool ideas. Im very interested to see what you guys come up with.

Now to the shop and future of the eco.

As many of you know, the /warp shop has always been a place for people to offload tons and tons of items, adding incredible amounts of money into the economy. Time and time again, the ecos been reset and had led to the same inflation every time.
Now is Klutch's turn and I take full responsibility for the shop changes, good and bad.
With the new shop setup, Nothing is sell-able to the server and no money can be brought into the eco out of it, and much less items in the shop.

This is necessary at the moment for 2 things:
1. It makes the new main focus of buying and selling items the Meep-shop or player to player interaction. Its allowing for players to look on the shop for items that no ones selling, and generate the market for themselves. Its also passing money from player to player instead of just adding to a climbing baltop. It allows money to enter at a slower pace. If we see the price of something dropping from accumulation, we can add a buy price to that specific item and bring the price back to a reasonable market with one easy, controlled method.

2. Less items being sold in the shop means you guys have to work for them. Players have much more items they can go collect, and make a market for. With no spawners being implemented, theirs a need for many of the items that became irrelevant in the old towns. Bones for example were worthless in a/b but now, they FLY off the Meep-shop. At the time I'm making this post, theirs no logs of any type, no web, 24 bones, you get my point. This makes a player to player market and encourages players to get out there and make money the fun way. SO ITS NOTED HERE. We want to change the tax to when an item is sold instead of listed, but we have to discuss a little more before doing so. Don't hold it against me if it doesn't happen I just want to keep you in the loop. Also, the item cap has been increased from 10,000 to 50,000.

Now comes ways to make money because I know the complaints will flow in. As mentioned, theirs HUNDREDS of items not sold on Meep-shop at the moment. SO stop complaining. The second method is Jobs. I know Mattisaperson made a thread saying we will nerf them, and some may, some got buffed today. Jobs are the main focus of adding money and we WANT it that way. Jobs = items and items = sales to new players. Thats how the eco should be and I dont plan to seriously nerf anything on the list. Voting is not the third way but as mentioned, you can make 1,460,000 per year per player from voting. Minigames are also a way, but again not intended to be for meeble making, more for fun to take a break from towny because towny is the main focus.

Another issue brought up was that you guys "lose" a perk. Thats not how it is at all. The items are not perm, and will change / fluctuate. The smaller shop size has now made the shop manageable for us to change and work with you guys to see whats working. Prices were set high on purpose to see where the values fall. We all know you guys jump at the chance to abuse the shop so thats intended for now. Also note that villager eggs have sold well at this price, and how can you (Matt) say to remove buy but encourage a lower villager price. Villagers single handily ruin ecos, so they need to be high.

But hey, I know a lot of you have concerns and ideas, but please give this a chance. Right now its in a beta stage and we are seeing how you guys adapt and like it. If its junk and doesn't work, I take full responsibility and we can return the shop back to the way it was. please please please give this a chance without making 15 threads about it day after day.

Ps. Many of you say the Rare bush I added to the shop. Expect many more "rare and collectible" Items to be added for donors only. =p

What led you both to apply for architect or to build in the first place?
“I was recommended by ex-administrator @Deinen . Even though I vowed to never join the meep team, I thought it was a way I could give back to the server I had played for such a long time.” -Andrew

“After spending some time off Meep I decided to start building on other servers, something I rarely done on meep. During that time I started with houses, on to terrain sculpting and worked my way up to trying maps and spawn after noticing myself improving on building. I first applied for architect around this time last year and was thankful to be accepted, although during my trial period I was rarely getting the time on to continue so I withdrew myself from the trial - and then the start of this year I was asked to help with a project and ended up deciding on staying after enjoying building for the server and having the freedom of the archworld on a server I enjoy to build in.” -Draqq


What has been your favorite build so far?
“If I had to choose a build to put forward as my favourite it would probably be my first airship map (Titans lair) as it was such a massive learning curve. I joined the arch team with zero experience. I built most of that map with single blocks until Noble taught me a few commands. The build brought so many emotions out of me. In the end it nearly brought me to tears for example the time I accidentally changed all the blocks into purple wool. I was so unexpected in w.e I nearly quit on the spot. This was at 95% completion.” -Andrew

“As simple as it is, i'd have to say my planets map which is one of the new skywars maps. I just think it looks awesome during the night and how unique it is compared to all the other planet maps I've came across.” -Draqq

Why do you call yourselves the “archduo”?

“Well I'm not sure they call us that, but if that's what they say I'm pleased to be part of his team. As he is an excellent builder and Meep is lucky to have him.” -Andrew

What do you like to do on Meep when you aren’t building?
“Unfortunately I have got to the point where I work so much in real life that when I come online it's usually to progress a build. However if I do have time I tend to just talk or look around creative if I'm online.” -Andrew

What tips would you give to someone who wants to start building?
“If you are building on a larger scale try to build two blocks deep, then you can sculpt into it to give depth and detail. Try to build in the standard minecraft texture pack then you’ll know when it looks nice to more than just yourself. Also, try to play and keep going do lots of builds -they will start like a weed a progress into a rose.” -Andrew

“Just go for it, easiest way I found was to just look at other peoples builds and base yours from theirs - although some may find this harder the best way was to take a build and try to improve it as much as possible. Worldedit and Voxelsniper are two very easy plugins/mods to learn and will make a huge difference in your builds. (or if in doubt just put leaves all over it that's what I do )” -Draqq

What do you love to build the most? And with what material?

“I like to build characters whether it be a gnome doing weights or a little owl in a tree, It's a hoot. I also like to build with wood the most” -Andrew

“Minigame maps, I prefer to be working on a couple maps at a time instead of just working on one build as I often lose focus that way. My favourite block to work with would have to be the jungle leaf block.” -Draqq

Hey Meepers!,

MeepShop was introduced into the MeepCraft server yesterday, June 16th, 2015. With this update to MeepCraft, we’ve given players an easy way to earn meebles and trade with their friends. For more veteran players on MeepCraft, this may remind you of Virtual Shop, or “VShop”. There are several large differences between the two. Firstly, we now have a /stock command. /stock allows you to see everything you or another player currently has for sale, and the amount of each item as well as the price. We have also added the /sales command, which does the same thing as /stock but allows you to see sales made by yourself or another player. The largest difference is the implementation of taxes into the shop. You are taxed 5% on each item you list on the shop, and buyers are taxed 3% on the purchases they make. These taxes were implemented to avoid having players hold all their items in /shop, using it as an infinite bank, and to lower the amount of money currently in the economy. Buyer’s tax, however, is Citizen only. Donators do not have to pay a buyers tax on their purchases.



Commands:
/shop - view /shop commands
/buy <amount> <item> [maximum price per item] - buy items
/sell <amount> <item> <price> - sell items
/cancel <item - remove items from your stock
/find <item> [page] - find offers for the items
/stock [player] [page] - browse through offers
/sales [player] [page] - view transaction log

Taxes:
Seller’s Tax: 5% - MeepCraft will charge 5% on the value of your listed items.
Buyer’s Tax (Citizens): 3% - MeepCraft will charge you 3% on top of the value of your bought items.
Buyer’s Tax (Donors): 0% -Tax-free buying is a donor perk.

Examples:
You want to sell 100 stones for 1 Meeble each

• /sell 100 stone 1
• MeepCraft will charge you 5% of 100 Meebles to put this for sale. (5 Meebles)
• You’ll receive the money when other players buy your items.

You want to remove your 100 stones from the MeepShop:

• /cancel stone

You want to buy 1000 stones for maximum 1 Meeble per stone:

• /buy 1000 stone 1
• Citizens: MeepCraft will charge you 1000+ 1000*5% Meebles = 1050 Meebles
• Donors: MeepCraft will charge you 1000 Meebles

A whole new gamemode! Towny wars, scarce resources, limited travel! Learn more about it here.

Spawn
A new spawn has arrived! Check it out at /warp spawn. Make sure to look for hidden portals going back to some of our previous spawns.

Extreme Pvp
Pvp is now off in towns in Extreme, but players exposed to sunlight show up on the dynmap here. Some special mechanics have been added yesterday as well.

Bounties
Hire mercenaries with /bounty (player) (reward) in Extreme! Check available bounties with /bounties.

Dungeon
Two dungeons have been released in Extreme so far - Jungle and Mountain, as well as a mini Crypt dungeon. Earn skulls by playing them!

Backups
The server will now have downtime for backups the 1st and 15th of every month. If the date lands on the weekend, the backup gets pushed to the first weekday. Learn more here.

Iron Ore
Iron ore generation has been buffed around the Extreme spawn.

Donor Chat Colors
Ultimate and Legend ranks have purple chat now, and Supreme has orange.

Extreme Town Chat
Players can now use /etc to talk in Extreme Town Chat.

Pg13 Chat
Both In-Game and Discord chat restrictions have been loosened to PG-13 guidelines.

Punch
Love abusing staff members? The cooldown for /punch in spawn has been lowered to 5 minutes.
Reduce poke cooldown next?

Spleef
Spleef speed is now 50% faster.

There will be a 25,000 meeble or 1,000 skull prize (from the MeepTimes writers) the person with the best answer, chosen by the Meeptimes team. To be entered, just reply to the thread with an answer! Winner will be paid with the release of the next MeepTimes.

When did you first join Meep?
I joined back on May 13th, 2012. Almost 8 years ago.

How has your relationship with Meepcraft changed over the years?
My relationship with Meep hasn’t always been a good one, but I’ve always had love for the server and it’s gotten drastically better in the past few years. I used to be very immature and would always start problems in global chat. I was very rude to pretty much anyone that wasn’t already my friend.

What’s a funny memory from Meep that you frequently go back to?
Probably when Fuzzlr shouted and made jokes about my ban history. That’ll always be a funny memory to me. I think he said “Breaking News: VKL unbanned for the 70th time.”

What are you most proud of in your time on Meep?
Honestly having such a huge ban history and still being one of the most dedicated players on the server. I showed myself that I didn’t give up trying to come back and play the server I love.

I’m surprised to hear that - I assumed that it would be your ban history, but I also assumed that you wouldn’t want to mention it in a positive light. I guess I should have listened to what they say about assumptions.
After years of being bothered by people just constantly using it against me, I figured I would embrace it and make it part of who I am. Or who I was, rather.

What about you as a person? What are some of your hobbies?
I enjoy playing basketball the most, but I also spend a lot of time playing video games.
I’ve been playing basketball since I was a teenager, playing streetball. I like it because it keeps me active and in shape. I grew up watching it so I’ve always enjoyed it.

Do you have a favorite team or player?
Favorite team is the Philadelphia 76ers and my favorite player is Kevin Durant. He had coronavirus, but he’s all better now.

So what have you been doing now that you can’t go play basketball?
Playing a lot of Meepcraft, but still visiting my friends that live in close range.

You said you play video games. What games do you play, other than (obviously) minecraft?
A lot of Call of Duty, NBA 2k, Madden, and Rainbow Six Seige. 2k and Madden are sports games and Rainbow Six Seige is a tactical shooter multiplayer game. So I like the team vs team shooter games, and the basic sports games.

What’s your current covid situation like?
I live in New Jersey, so we’re supposed to be on lockdown with a curfew of 8pm - 5am but since I live in a small town I can just drive 5 minutes to see my friends. But other than that I stay inside and don’t go to any store or fast food places. I live with my grandparents, so I can’t risk getting sick. My dad goes to a local grocery to shop for his dad every weekend, so I just have him pick stuff up for me. Or I’ll make frozen foods that we already have in the house.

What’s been the most difficult personal obstacle you’re encountered?
Trying to maintain my work-sleep schedule. While I’m not working because of this pandemic I gotta make sure I can’t stay up too late and ruin my schedule.

Has there been anything positive in this for you?
More time to spend playing video games and talking on discord with my friends haha.

What’s a song that you would recommend to Meep?
Hmm I don’t know most of the music I listen to would probably be banned here so I don’t suggest them but my favorite song right now is probably Emotionally Scarred by Lil Baby.

How did you first find the server?
I found the server by searching in the category “towny” via Google.

What do you enjoy the most about the server?
I enjoy chatting with other meeps that are in the server and also building my town I am currently in. It’s what I do. Meeps here are very social, which is what I love the most.


What is the best way to blow up a house?
Hmm, let’s see . . . Just trap the whole house with TNT, and at the end just shoot up some fireworks for celebration!

So, is your name really Tiff?
My full name is Tiffany, but I like to be called Tiff mostly.

If you were given a million Meebles right now, what would you spend them on?
I’d probably save them! If I had to spend them, I would maybe spend it on a new town or nation. Either that, or maybe give it out for real money, but only to spend on something important.

What is your favorite Star Wars movie?
Oh man, that’s a hard question. I think I would say Star Wars: The Force Awakens because I’ve only watched five of them total.
