Hmm, i agree partly with what you are suggesting Klutch, of course these perks do not define meep nor what make meep, Meep. But Meep has always known Ranks, so it will be hard, at first, to change. However, I think that a fresh start should not occur as radical change in short amount of time will be to drastic a change. Thank you very much, too all the staff involved, for deciding the option you went with, it is muchly appreciated.

Very bad news. This really shouldn't have caught anyone by surprise. There were several suggestion threads and other discussions that gave out good ideas to help our server comply with the EULA but they were shut down. Again, bad news but I trust that Fuzzlr and friends will not let us down!

I honestly knew this was coming. It was just a matter of when it hit and how fast the team had to work.

In all reality, a lot of people worked so hard on certain projects and making things look amazing with certain perks. That's gonna be hard to beat. In a way, I wish Meep would have just reset and it was a 100% clean slate for everyone to climb to the top with "fair" perks. It makes sense why there wasn't a reset, but it would have just made more sense with the beginning of summer for most people and an influx of people joining Meep. It would have just been like when we reset back in the summer of 2013.

Either way, I hope the staff team doesn't get too much backlash for this because it's not the fault of the individual players who are on the team, it's just a thing that has to be done and lots of servers are being hit by it.

Well essentially it was made in 2014 that servers must abide by the End User License Agreement in order to give all minecraft players a level playing field compared to say...someone with money.

The owner of this server knew he was in violation back in 2014 and did nothing, lawyers finally caught up and said fix it or shut down.

How should servers deal with users who have already spent hard currency on features that affect gameplay?
Users may keep the perks they’ve paid for on the condition that the same perks are available to other players on the server (directly or purchasable using soft currency). It’s up to the server host to decide how to compensate users for previous transactions.

Once they check to see if you have fixed it, they won't check again. It's like parents checking to see if your on your phone at night. If they check once they won't check again.

Usually I stay away from this kind of comment because its 100% ignorant but,
We were NOT told 2 years ago. No one ever cracked down on any of it and they gave us less than a 24 hour window to complete the issues. I dont really care if you want to go around parading the fact that you think you know what youre talking about here, But every server is getting crunched with this now and this is certainly something Fuzzlr didnt just ignore.

Much like when you recently told everyone we're EULA compliant, it's all good, you're dead wrong.

Mojang notified everyone publicly in Jun 2014, and then followed up immediately with an extensive, reader-friendly Q&A to explain it, which made it plenty obvious that Meepcraft was in violation. Even if you somehow missed the notices, many in this community did not, and the EULA has been a regular topic on forums and global ever since. It's literally impossible for anyone who has spent a number of regular hours on Meepcraft and not know about the EULA, or that there were issues around it for this server. It was totally ignored for 23 months.

And much like if you were parked illegally, explaining to the cop that you didn't know is a waste of breath - ignorance of the law does not excuse you from compliance with it. The cop doesn't have to give you an extra 20 minutes to move it, either.

While this sucks, I'm not going to quit. Anyways, thanks guys for spending so much time to fix the complaints and come up with some creative and new perks, plus ways to kinda get back the others.

Yes this is pretty much the same for me. Think of this, Most servers don't have any perks except for maybe simple ones like /feed or something. I think meep should maybe get redone because there are a lot of big things meep could be and all those perks like /fly and /fix ect. meep has known to have so now when people have nothing they have to try to survive. And if you restart more people may join and I think most of the meep players now will stay too. But I do love a lot of things on meep right now and like I have night vision pots so people can have some from me. But I would be careful klutch about fly notes and fix notes and fill notes because the eula banned those commands from meep. So I'm not quitting and it was awesome for pretty much the whole team of admins and fuzzlr to spend 10 straight hours complying to those things. I think its good they came when they did because maybe we would've had even more commands that weren't allowed and they would've blacklisted meep straightaway with no 10 hours.Btw ive tried making a server before so I know its not easy. Everyone shouldn't be saying they want they're money back or they wasted they're money on ranks. That money contributes to fuzzlr keeping meepcraft up and his college funds. So a special thanks to fuzzlr and the whole team of staffs for keeping meepcraft up!

Im pretty sure that EULA sent a representative to meep and told them it was ok. but thats just what i heard.

I think that it is going to be very hard, well for me for a start, to get grips with the idea that despite having spent so much donating to this server, that i will have the same perks as someone just joining, maybe perks depending with how long you have been on the server for, persuading loyal meepers, could be a way forward but this is just an idea.

Thanks for putting in the work to make this server EULA compliant. I think in the long term, it will be better for the economy, and I'm excited to see what kind of suggestions the community will come up with.

That being said, it's rather unprofessional that we continued to sell ranks even after the implementation of the EULA. We knew this would come, and we had a good amount of time to prepare a response. I'm not sure that ignoring the EULA was the best course of action, but it is what it is.

Hey klutch maybe since all of the supreme and ults have the same commands maybe just like exclusive+ should get /rename too because we donated too.
