    I tested this with Hippa.
    If someone sets it fs for any amount, if you have enough money in the town bank, you can buy it back and still keep the money.

    I understand this issue, I have it a lot myself. The only way I've known to remedy this was doing /t unclaim in the area. This completely regenerates that bit of land and effectively removes the resident. This will reset that entire plot area.

    Resolved: do /plot claim over the area! Buys the plot back for the town.
