Remove "/t join (blah)" signs illegal near /warp alpha or /warp beta spawns

Hornemans, what do your signs offer in terms of introducing new players? And please come up with a good excuse, the daily tax of 1000 isn't helping.

 

You are not very smart are you, or you just fail at trolling? That was clearly a reply to the previous post which i conveniently quoted above in-case you didn't get it!

Lets be clear... I am bound by no means to make ANY excuses, only facts! I just answered this very same question in another thread let me copy it: Lastly, the big signs DO help new players cause they sure as heck don't read ANY of the small ones! If it was not for the big signs you would have 1000 new players running around spawn not know what to do for 10 mins quitting and never coming back. So again your welcome for putting a big sign and getting 100's of players to stay on the server for at least enough time to read a big sign join a town go to it and get a plot! If they never log on again after that, not my fault! As far as the daily tax being high im pretty sure i answered this already too in a different thread, i will get the post: First, the HIGH taxes where only a "side effect" of the stupid rule they made about having 1 plot for every player in town! So if you want to blame someone for that then blame the ADMINS that came up with the "brilliant" idea to do that! Why? Cause the turn around for a new player on a minecraft server is about 5% give or take! What does that mean Horneman? that out of the 1000+ NEW PLAYERS that JOIN meepcraft every day only 50 of them will actually play on meepcraft for longer then a few days! So even though there are 1000 people in my town only 500 of them ever got a plot and the other 500 will NEVER LOG ON AGAIN, and out of those 500 only 50 of them might say on the server longer then a week! So the higher taxes are to "weed out" that population that will never be back, thus keeping plot count low. Side Note: before this above rule was made i only had 250 plot tax, and before that a 1% tax which worked out to be about 25-100 meeble a day for new players (but of course everyone made whinny baby complainy threads like this one and poof now we are here). Now at this point im not going to go any further and try explaining stuff cause im sure no one will care about stuff like FACTS and REALITY, they just like to comment on stuff with opinions and haternessness!

 

So why is your tax 3x higher than the plot tax? You only let people get 1 plot anyway.

 

The signs were erected specifically to scam new players for tax money, not to help them in any way.
They were created with malicious intent.

And as frantically as you are defending them,
it seems fairly obvious that you've made a lot of money this way, Horn.

 

Hight taxes, Why don't you try "reading" all the other posts instead of just randomly asking the same questions over and over! As far as plots, members can have as many as they want, why don't you try doing research before you say things that are not true.

This is getting boring! All you guys keep repeating the same NONSENSE and and don't bother to get fact or correct information before you post, and they you just look dumb. There is not scamming or any of the other LIES that you stated here. Let's face it. You have had a big impact on this server. There was a time that I admired your accomplishments when it was the result of hard work. But at some point you made it your sole mission to find each and every exploit possible to extort money from the server whilst remaining on the very edge of what is considered legal or allowable. You can sit there all you want and whine about FACTS and REALITY and asking for proof of your wrong doings but you made sure you stayed in the clear, albeit only by a small margin. Whether it was giant (and I mean humongous) gold, iron, cactus farms etc. or admin shop abuse or villager trading, if there was a way to make money off of it with relative eaze you could bet Hornemans was at the forefront leading the way.

Everytime the server gave citizens a way to make money you would abuse it to the point that it had to be nerfed. And when they finally nerfed almost every aspect of meep that didn't stop you. You simply found another way of extortion via towny tax.. This may be the lowest you've gone so far and it might be the hardest thing for the server to try and stop or prevent as this touches the very fabric of what makes meepcraft, meepcraft.

Why should more restrictions be put in place and why should more things be nerfed for EVERYONE if only a few are to blame? It is time for someone in charge to have the guts (and the power) to tell those who abuse the system to stop and give them a deadline. Not every little thing can be written down in the rules and we need a supreme ruler to judge these cases swiftly and efficiently. Tell Hornemans that what he is doing is unacceptable and negatively impacting the experience of a lot of players and that those practices will not be stood for. Or if he is more important as a single player than a big portion of your user base tell us then too shut up and suck it up.



(I know Horne is not the only one guilty of some of the things mentioned above but most certainly the most famous for it and I think percentage wise the biggest culprit.)

You mean 5 Super Giant Huge Mega Gold Farms (go watch my youtube videos) and MANY iron, cacuts, (you forgot coal, sold lots and lots of coal), and yes hundreds of villagers! All of this methods were "legit" so not sure what you talking about? I mean if you are trying to say they are illegal and i should be ban then why dont' you just ban EVERYONE on the server for using them too! Yeah, Great Idea!

Yes, Everything can be written in the rules.. duh... that's why they are called rules! If there was one supreme ruler im sure that ruler would be someone very intelligent and smart and come to the only conclusion that can be reached, I'll just leave it at that!

Not everyone took it to the extreme, lagging the server, abusing selling to the admin shop and negatively affecting the experience of other players.

Missing the point completely... and to put EVERYTHING SPECIFICALLY in the rules is just an absurd statement and nearly impossible and probably a waste of time.

For the record I never accused you of breaking the rules or doing anything illegal or implying that you should be banned because I'm right and screw everything. Just pointed out your impact on the server and the experience of players. And your response to the post is really doesn't change anyhting because as everyone can see the hornemans will do what the hornemans does. It's infintely more concerning what will be allowed on the server and how long people will stand by and do nothing. It's more of a question to staff and players as to where lines will be drawn? Or even if I'm barking up the wrong tree tell me to p|ss off.
