So we understand this came as a surprise to you all. Trust me, It caught us off guard as well.

We thought most things were alright but that was not the case. We were alerted that we have less than 10 hours comply with the EULA or we will be shut down.

We had 2 choices. Shut down and redo everything without allowing you guys on, or go through every permission node for the 10 hours straight and remove what we have to do be compliant.

We spent the 10 hours removing everything we had to, and moving everything we had to in order to comply. We also gathered some ideas to put together to let you know that we will be adding some pretty amazing things to the ranks.

Unfortunately, some perks cannot come back. This stinks for us all and believe me. Fuzzlr pushed very hard with Mojang but they did not budge.

Certain commands WILL make a comeback. We just need to make them available to everyone and purchasable with Meebles. We did not have time to go through all these, or re-add these. We also did not have time to remove the lores on /fixed items however that will be addressed.

Things like fly may become available through hourly buying them with meebles. We just need to go through it all and re add what were allowed to so PLEASE. Have patience.

We are all very stressed about this but these things are not what make Meep, Meep.
We need to pull together and come up with ideas to get this server to be top notch again. This done not come through toxicity or complaining. It comes through maturity and sharing ideas in a organized manner.

Feel free to suggest things but please keep in mind, we have a big list and are working hard to get them done.

Very bad news. This really shouldn't have caught anyone by surprise. There were several suggestion threads and other discussions that gave out good ideas to help our server comply with the EULA but they were shut down. Again, bad news but I trust that Fuzzlr and friends will not let us down!

 

Sorry klutch but fuzzlr knew back in 2014 the changes that needed to happen. Maybe you were caught off guard but he was definitely not.

 

Much like when you recently told everyone we're EULA compliant, it's all good, you're dead wrong.

Mojang notified everyone publicly in Jun 2014, and then followed up immediately with an extensive, reader-friendly Q&A to explain it, which made it plenty obvious that Meepcraft was in violation. Even if you somehow missed the notices, many in this community did not, and the EULA has been a regular topic on forums and global ever since. It's literally impossible for anyone who has spent a number of regular hours on Meepcraft and not know about the EULA, or that there were issues around it for this server. It was totally ignored for 23 months.

And much like if you were parked illegally, explaining to the cop that you didn't know is a waste of breath - ignorance of the law does not excuse you from compliance with it. The cop doesn't have to give you an extra 20 minutes to move it, either.

While this sucks, I'm not going to quit. Anyways, thanks guys for spending so much time to fix the complaints and come up with some creative and new perks, plus ways to kinda get back the others.

 

Yeah I heard mojang is black listing servers if they don't comply to EULA which is really dumb because one of the reasons minecraft is so big is because of the massive online community's.

 

How should servers deal with users who have already spent hard currency on features that affect gameplay?
Users may keep the perks they’ve paid for on the condition that the same perks are available to other players on the server (directly or purchasable using soft currency). It’s up to the server host to decide how to compensate users for previous transactions.

After reading through some comments and such I understand now why they're doing that. While I cannot say that I am 100% happy with it, I look forward to the changes that might be brought back. I will also continue to play on this server (despite any changes) as I've met a fair amount of kind people on the server.

Thank you for all the hard work you do, and for doing your hardest to make everyone happy

 

I look forward to the development of the server due to these (forced) changes. In the meantime, I am taking a break (Not quitting yet!) while the community is toxic as they rage about this.

 

I really don't get why you are so pissed man, yea those perks were bae but for real, I think people will definitely still buy supreme. I am a 100% fan of these changes.

Zero surprises. It was just a matter of time. Mojang announced this almost two years ago, and their explanation was very explicit.

 

I Agree, while starting fresh will most likely mean some meepers quit, starting fresh will bring a lot of newer players I think. I like the /fly can be bought hourly with meebles cuzz in reality, it was quite unfair for those who didn't have the money to buy ult.

I say you guys redo it, it will give the server a fresh feel and I think even without the use of those commands people will enjoy the server more
And also let the players give suggestions and this will give meep a name and as you said you wanna keep meep, meep
I also think this is the best time for a change in out community, which people have been looking for a reset or something along those lines for a long time.
It will make meep worth playing again and you should make the spawn less complex because its really not needed anymore, it looks like a spawn that could hold 100+ people but when I go there the most I see is around 5, its pointless
