It keeps people with criminal pasts out. It lets us know who is in our country, so we have an accurate record if people come to our country and commit crime.

Because you would be known as an isolated country to those planning to migrate to the States. This would overly affect anyone coming in or out of the country for the following reason. If people were forced out to move to the states, it would affect population growth, WAIT..... Because when people then start moving out of the states, this would mean as soon as the leave the border they are not allowed to move back. I think you just answered your own question and you don't see it. Since you keep going on about how lazy America is, it makes them not wanting to do the hard working labour out on the fields. That is where the Mexicans come in, willing to work long painful hours to both help the so called "lazy people" you speak of, as well as their families (either also in America or Mexico). So are you willing to work the long hours in the fields to water and harvest foods? BTW you saying no, makes you one of the "lazy" people, and dodging the question, means you will be willing to let the Mexicans work it.

Agreed. But some things that a majority/minority (like internet) are some things I consider is required as a need. Reason: It makes it easier to do stuff like banking, update things to people (bosses about work availability), easily connected to people, and most importantly do WORK (Excel, Word, PowerPoint are all on and don't require internet, UNTIL they need to send it to others).

Jesus! I didn't realise your government was this violent! To be fair though, they would most likely get fined and forced to pay all unpaid wages if they were caught doing so in Australia. So you would say the government will forced to pay more for wages or lead to.... a violent government?

Well it does, because it will make your country a lot more happier to be part of the country (to be perfectly honest, your country needs it). It would also lower suicide, prescription, and is better for everyone to have this fair amount. I think it is even said that it will boost the economy because the consumer spending will increase and lowers the price on items based on the demand for it.

See here's the thing when you only (for example) went straight from school to University for a degree, most jobs will require both work experience and degree. That is half of the issue, where's the other?

What if the teenager was either kicked out of home, all alone and/or an orphan? How can these teenagers survive on that kind of wage?

What if the woman was raped? Do you think she deserves to have that abortion? Because this ban, would make her force to raise a child with half of its genes being part of a rapist. She is allowed (straight up) to have the abortion, no denies for her right.

Oh yeah, the only thing you teach your kids, making them that much more clueless when it comes to the real thing of protection and prevention. I still don't understand why America still does this, they are going to have sex anyway.

I don't even understand how you think this is sound reasoning.
You define need as something thats vital for you to survive.
Then you say you need internet because it makes things easier.

if someone commits suicide, its there own individual responsibility to own the action.
You do not deserve a good life if you don't earn it. I don't care if it would make you or tons of other people happier, you need to earn your success in life through your own hard work and your social connections.

Then it comes down to personal choice right? If you don't want to be trying to pay off your loans on a minimum wage job, make personal choices that don't lead you to that decision.
Also, I'm reasonably sure that most entry level jobs still pay more than minimum wage. It probably depends on the degree, but then its your responsibility to choose a degree.

You seem to not understand why we have laws. You don't make laws governing everyone based on a minority. Thats why we don't raise the minimum wage for "teenagers abandoned by there families who have autism and were also raped 14 times and also have no legs and can't read".
If a woman was raped, there should be social programs giving her whatever support she needs to have the child, and compensate her as much as possible for the crimes inflicted upon her. That however doesn't change the morality of killing a baby, its still a baby.

No, you give your kids sex education and explain to them how to take protective measures to minimize any risks that come with there behavior. It doesn't change that if you don't have sex you have a 0% chance of getting pregnant.

 

@MeepLord27 Would you be opposed to a program that made work visas cheaper and easier to obtain? We had a program similar to this back in the 50s and 60s and it cut illegal immigration by 90%.

 

Probably. I haven't done any research into this, but it sounds like it would be a good fix. That being said, we still need strong border security.

 

We need a secure border but it should also be much easier to legally enter the US. With an easy to obtain work visa, the non violent and productive immigrants would be able to stay and it would make it pointless to enter illegally. This would make it easier for border patrol to keep out the bad people who want to do things like run drugs.

 

I'm looking into it atm, and I see a couple issues.

1. Don't the majority of illegal immigrants come here with visas and then just overstay there visit? Upping the number of visas would just up the number of illegal immigrants wouldn't it? Also, if most of the illegals get here legally, is it really that hard to get a visa? On the state department website it says "the vast majority of visa applications are approved," and that the only way your visa can get denied is if you request the wrong type of visa, if you have a criminal past, or if you don't have your information in order.
2. I'll link you too the state department page talking about how your visa request can be denied, can you tell me what you would remove? Skimming through it seems like anyone who doesn't meet the valid criteria aren't really the types of people we want in our country anyway. (Ineligibilities and Waivers: Laws)

I didn't say Americans were lazy, I said most people that live in America that are on welfare are lazy. Also, I would work those long hours however I'm not going to set that as my "goal" I am definitely going to work an office job. Just because you don't work manual labor, doesn't mean you are lazy. Not going to work makes you lazy.

I literally haven't seen a job that requires a "degree" and "experience". How do you have experience if you've never gotten a job? typically the degree overrides the experience...?

A parent can't just kick their child from home unless they are 18 or graduated from high school.

Clearly this teenager is on disability. That is quite an unusual case. I actually find that near to impossible to ever happen.

Yeah Australia (sort of) as a good example. Since we are surrounded by water it makes it only 2 ways to get here, Plane or Boat. Easily check through airports and bordered the waters for another. We kind of struggle with water patrol, but its easier to notice if the boat is a refugee boat or not.

And here 29% of Australians HAVE lived off/paid benefits from Centrelink (Including ALL Pensions, Youth Allowance, and those who have gone off Centrelink payments). Now anyone wanting to be on Centrelink now have to have a drug test before they start getting paid. My sister was in fact on that for the time she was needed to be supported (Off it now BTW and is now beginning to pay the payments for it).

It happens all the time. Have you ever been to an American hotel? Most of housekeeping are immigrants. Immigrants also take a lot of hard labor jobs like landscaping carpentry etc. Personally I think it's just capitalism at its finest.

Yeah Child Abandonment laws are a thing. Parents are legally obligated to house their kids till they turn 18.

It's easier to demonize them when you call them aliens rather than humans.
