I have actually been saying that, and still doesn't care, thanks for trying to back me up for posting it before about it.
Problem with that, is with a very busy work/life balance, sometimes banks can be dead quiet or so busy you're waiting for 2 hours.

EBT? You mean like those cards to pay for groceries right? Apart from remote parts of Australia, no one in cities (except for the hundreds who are homeless who actually have it) actually use/have any of those cards. We have them, but in my 18 months of working in my suburb supermarket, I've only seen it happen twice. That's all.

Do you ever consider why the homeless is in that position to begin with? Was it a drug addiction, gambling, drinking? Don't think it would be a really good idea to do that, instead they need to get help with rehab first before giving them any type of money (You could give them money with this EBT thing, which is actually the safest way).

Okay then, explain to the tread how you can survive on the America's minimum wage ($7.25/hr) working 40 hours a week with an allowance of $60/week from the government for example. Explain in detail how you can survive on that then.

That sums up what I've been trying to say to Marlin.
Same here Marshy (in Australia), less pay till you hit age 21.

    This is your misconception.

When you are working a McJob to just survive, a career is the farthest thing from your mind, you can't look far ahead enough to plan a career out, for the most part, you are simply just too busy trying to get your most immediate needs.

I said Minimum Wage is fine as is, but never said the problem was people being "lazy". And the real thing I want to point out is that the cost of living differs on where you live, so it is difficult to set up a high federal minimum wage.

I don't want to get into this usual debate pattern here so I'm not going in far, but @Deljikho is pointing out that not having a job is most of the time not because you are lazy. And I also feel like @Blue_marlin98 doesn't know enough about being poor to discuss about this topic, as you believe that poverty is a choice, which really isn't true.

I had a job in High School, my little brother is currently a Junior in HS and has a job. I know plenty of people that worked during HS. Are you just lazy?

That's an awfully over general statement. Time for some economic truths my man.

    1. Only one person can get each job.
    2. Most qualified usually gets it.
    3. Systemic factors hold back some communities, making it harder to get qualifications (College)
    4. Why should you get f*** over for existing?
