The issue is not that VKL is a bad friend, but that he wouldn't fit the role of a staff member. Put your potential biases aside and assess if he'd be ready for the staff position. I take into account that he is commonly insulting people, still gets banned as of recent for bug abuse, and etc.

I like VKL to an extent, but to me he's not ready. -1.

+1, I love you VKL. As Cactoos said, what harm can he do? You've been around for awhile (even if most of the time has been with a ban or on an alt account) and you know about the server. Especially when it comes to ban appeals.

@Staff you should just make him your ban appeal liaison.

Heyo VKL!

So, I've heard a lot about you. Mainly, your bans. I've heard about your ban history, and how you most likely have the most bans than anyone. You probably are ready to be helper, from what I've seen in chat, you've been acting a bit better than before. However, I don't trust you as much as others do. From what I've heard from someone (not mentioning names), you gave away private information that was told to you from someone who didn't want it to be released. You told others, and thats just messed up. I don't have much trust in you, even if I wasn't told about this. You're a nice guy, but I think you should wait out a month or two to see if you've actually improved since the last ban you've had. And don't release information that shouldn't be released, cause who knows if you'll do that as a staff member.

I think I've only spoken with you a few times, and you seem like a really nice person I guess, but based on what I have read here I do not believe you to be qualified for a staff position. Here are my thoughts:

Your introduction is supposed to let people know who you are, what type of person you are, etc. You shouldn't be able to do that in only four sentences. Tell us more about yourself, we don't want to be +1'ing a player we know next to nothing about!

1. Your job as a staff member is to better the server and help it in the long run. That should be your main goal, not making the team better just by being on it or just to give yourself the satisfaction of being on the team.
2. Another problem I have with this is that you seem to be trying to promise people things that you can't back up, for instance saying that you would have a chance to do [blank] once you get on the team. Why don't you just do it beforehand so you have experience and can continue doing that?
3. Um. How about not having any bans in the time that leading up to when you apply? It's great that you've learned from your mistakes, but you should work on not making as many instead of priding yourself on the fact that you've only had a certain number of bans, because it seems like you're meaning to say, "Hey, at least I didn't have as many as usual!" Oh wait. That's kinda what you were doing
4. Don't tell the staff what they should be appreciating about you just to get onto the team lmao. It is good that you'd be on at times when there are usually no staff on. That makes only two good things I see so far.

It's great that you're working on being more mature. But based on the parts I underlined, you're just making more promises based on what might happen, without anything to back it up.

Even though there's a bit of bias in this post, Muunkee draws a really solid point.

All your ban history does is prove you like to have fun. Who cares for what you did a year ago? If you're hardworking in the present, there should be no reason that you should be denied.
