Okay heres my opinion.
Remember this is coming as a player, as much as a friend I am to you, please dont take these personally.

Your first time as staff was somewhat "odd", sure you we're active, but some of the stuff you did as staff were not very staff-like.
I believe you should have a second chance to prove us you can make-over these mistakes, you do have potential, show it to us.

Introduction: Hey, SpongeyStar here. Most of you should know me by now, but for those who don’t here’s a little about me. I’m in my 10th year of school, with favourite subjects including Robotics, Physical Education, Maths and English. Sports I have an interest in are Badminton, Basketball and swimming. I’m a happy-sort-of person and tend not to get angry a lot. I really strive for people not to be depressed and try get their happy mood up. I also enjoy playing the piano. I taught myself how to play piano by using my keyboard which has pop up notes. I feel more motivated when I teach myself something, because when I succeed it shows I’m capable. I’ve learnt how to play Fur Elise and currently learning how to play The Entertainer and Scarborough Fair. As you would know by now, I’m a huge fan of Spongebob Squarepants, my hero even though he is just a fictional character. People think it’s immature for a 14 year old to love Spongebob, but tell me there are a few older people who still love him. Don’t let people put you off your likings.

Why should you be Helper? You all know I’ve submitted about 3 applications for staff now. You probably think I’m too needy for staff and I’m turning into those people who apply like every 2 weeks, but no. I try my best to go for ‘Quality over Quantity.’ This time I’m writing this application, I really and truly hope I’m getting my point across about why I would like to be helper. Also, I quite like this way of writing my ‘why’ section. I feel it gives me more motivation because these quotes are moving.

Nearing my demotion, I had gotten a message from chaos546 on skype. She gave me a little talk, or whatever you call it about me not doing my job when I’m suppose to. She said that I’d be not doing modreqs when there were many of them. At the end of it she said if you need help, just ask, don’t do nothing. When I saw this message I instantly felt bad for what I’ve done. I wasn’t doing my job I’ve been honoured to do. From then on I tried hard to do modreqs on time. I’ve mentioned ‘motivation’ a few times in my application.

Motivation is a part of life that tells you to do something; more like helping you to do something. When in the staff team you have your fellow staff members there to guide you and motivated you throughout the job.

‘Work before play is what they always say’
I’m saying this from my actions. I wasn’t a good helper. I didn’t do my job well and used /g more than /done. At the peak times, there were many modreqs and many staff on, but not many staff to do all the modreqs. I should’ve taken lead and claimed a modreq but instead I’d just /shout’ed, did parkour and other useless things. I feel very bad for my wrongdoings and whenever I keep thinking back to it, I wish I could rewind in life and start again, freshly.

‘With the three D’s: Determination, Dedication and Discipline; you’ll succeed further than you’ve ever dreamed’
Determination: This server has been getting many new players after many updates. It’s great to see new players. When new players come on I try to welcome them and help the ones that need help. Sometimes I’m lingering in spawn and there are a few new citizens asking in local chat how to do certain things and I try help the best I can. I answer every question with my knowledge because I don’t want people leaving this wonderful server, they deserve to stay here.

Dedication: I have been on this server for 11 months. Almost a year and I’m still here. I’ve never given up on this server even at the toughest of times. I get on the server the most I can. If I’m going to be away for a week I try to get on lots before I leave. This server has become part of my family, the people here are wonderful. I love this server with all my heart and want to make it even better.
Discipline: I own 2 towns on Meep; one in alpha, one in beta. The alpha one is based of Spongebob and I’ve always wanted a town like that. The beta one was given to me by Cookies713. I had to strive to make these towns better and maintain them. But sometimes when I came on Meep I just didn’t feel like doing any town work. My alpha town work had many buildings to be built but I kept it on hold for ages. I was making a fun park in beta but kept that on hold for ages. What did I do then? Yeah. What did I do. I just walked around my town not bothered to do anything. I then thought to myself ‘What would happen if you just stay like this?’ I’ll get nothing done. The towns will eventually fall with un-happy residents. The alpha town was my dream and I needed to fulfill it. The beta town was given to me by a friend, I couldn’t let it fall. It clicked to me that I needed to do work on these towns and so I did. I have gained the discipline to do things I’m suppose to, and not doing things I’m not suppose to. I use to be a heavy lotto buyer but now I don’t even buy any tickets, only claiming the free ones. I believed I could make myself more disciplined, and I have.

‘Dreams don’t work unless you do’
This year at school I signed up for the Duke of Edinburgh award. This is an award broken into 4 sections; Physical recreation, Skills, service and outdoor. In physical recreation you have to do a sport of some sort 1 hour a week, skills you learn a new skill 1 hour a week, service you give back to the community 1 hour a week and outdoor you go on an overnight camp with limited supplies. This award aims to give young people the chance to live life to the fullest and show it is possible. I joined this year and already feel good about myself. I didn’t think I could do a hike up a mountain for 2 hours, but I did. I now feel more capable of myself going past my limits. On another note, in my Robotics class my group entered a RoboCup competition. We gained 1st place heading to nationals. Our group had our ups and downs, lots of fights but together we made it work, because if we didn’t we knew we won’t be finished on time and won’t be able to join the competition. Now we are going to nationals and could claim the title there too. Teamwork is key when working in a team like MeepCraft staff. If you just sit there working individually you won’t get the joy out of it.
‘The only source of knowledge is experience’
When I was helper, I tried to fit in the most knowledge I could. If I didn’t know something, I’d either search it up on google or ask another staff member. I feel that if I do get accepted again, I will know the commands better and I’ll be able to work calmer on reports, modreqs etc.

What are your weaknesses? I do have a few weaknesses and I am not afraid to show them. If I tell you them I feel I become more confident and you can see what I have really worked on.

Immaturity: Immaturity has been my weakness ever since I joined. For some reason I’m just more outgoing and immature on the web than I am in real life. I try to control my maturity around my friends while still being the friend I always am. I really do feel I have improved; not fully; but a little. It shows I am willing to become more mature.

Bias: I have developed a lot of friends on this server. Sometimes I have friends who apply for staff and I’m just worried if I put a -1 they’ll hate me forever. But I need to know sometimes you do have to -1 your friends even if they are your friends.

Teamspeak: I do get on now and then, as much as a try, I’m not really allowed to according to my parents. I do see where they are coming from and I respect that. But I try get on as much as I can, even if it’s just a simple ‘hi.’ Tagging along on teamspeak, shyness is another problem. If I were allowed to TeamSpeak as much as I can, I wouldn’t be on 24/7. I feel shy talking to people whom I haven’t met in real life, and it gives me the shivers. Everytime I talk there I just tell myself ‘They aren’t going to eat you, they are your friends, just talk to them!’

I was demoted due to a couple of reasons:
a) I was very immature
b) I didn't do my job when I was suppose to. There were lots of modreqs lined up and a few staff on but I just kept doing other things like talking in /g and parkouring etc. I used /g more than /done
c) When Boomo came out for a test, we all went to play it. But there was a glitch that you just kept getting meebles, it happend to me. I was stuck in the void and had 500 meebles constantly added to my account eventually ending up with 1 million. I told this to Diana she told me how much I got, I told her an amount but I probably accidentally told her the wrong amount (less) So the staff thought it was abusing staff glitch or something.

But I've gone over these reasons over and over again and hope I won't mess it up next time if I do get staff.

What would happen if you did get staff, then had to leave staff because of school issues?

 

If you aren't allowed on ts I honestly think that should be a factor. My parents go back and forth on whether to let me use ts or not. They discourage it but I give them good reasons to allow it and they kind of soften on their rules but that might be because they know its a losing battle.
You're super positive and I think that would make a great part of the staff.

From what I know about you, you're very kind and honestly I was surprised to hear you're 14! I think you should give yourself more credit with maturity, as I assumed you to be much older. Also, though I didn't know you when you were helper, I see that you've honestly reflected on your mistakes and it makes me pretty confident that you'll do the right thing this time around.
