Introduction: G'day Meep!

Most of you know me by Kieran or Kling. I Enjoy my days working, training, talking with friends and playing Meepcraft.

Last year I worked as a laborer and was an allrounder at a woodfire pizza store in Australia. Although they both payed under wage I enjoyed them because I knew with the amount I was getting I could get to England.

My biggest personal achievement in the past year is coaching an u10 football/soccer team. With that I helped the players improve at the sport and helped them with troubles they had.

Why should you be Helper? With my experience as a moderator I believe I will be a valuable member within the staff team, I am online at the highs and lows of Meep.

The community - My largest reason for becoming a staff member is so I can do mod requests, I remember so many like my first theft case where someone stole from Zigga90. After that Zigga and I became good friends I would help him with his house and town. Puppies2406 lost her horse in towny so I decided I would travel with her in hopes to find Pudding. We were unable to find Pudding so we held a memorial and I bought a horse at her ranch called Amber. A poor poor restaurant owner not having any visitors to buy their delicious food so I gathered the online staff members to join me in a meal when they were available in which we all enjoyed.
I love engaging with the community, welcoming players to the server and gathering players of all ranks together to do things like fishing, drop parties or even make noob houses in the wild!

Helping - Throughout my life I have helped a lot of people with things for example: relationships, work, life threatening situations and helping strangers. Whether it is helping a woman carry her groceries across the field while I was training or helping an elderly person cover their furniture outside before the rain would come. I also helped staff members while I was a moderator with commands, modreqs and suggestions. Even after I was released of my position I helped a couple staff members with questions and commands.
On Meep I help players with questions, their town/creative, commands and being their for someone to talk to on Teamspeak. My assistance does not stop there as for I have helped a few players with things outside of the game.

Unbiased/tolerance - I am not bothered whether you have 0 or 60 bans, not donating or donating, new player or old player. My personal opinion does not interact with your ban. My tolerance for people is quite high, I remember when I had my favorite troublesome duo come on Teamspeak after I banned them and complained. I took them into a private channel so I could discuss with them why they are banned but all I got was swearing and yelling. I stayed calm and collected the entire time as they relieved their anger and left.

Customer concerned - This is something I have come to understand recently with work and I also had a highly respected player mention on forums for me to work on my customer skills. With my new job I work face to face with a few hundred people, learning and remembering names can be tricky but when it comes down to it us staff members need to focus that the people are happy much like my clients at work.

What are your weaknesses? Blunt/honesty - I tend speak my mind and am straight to the point, I may not waste a lot of extra characters but it can lead to the wrong idea. Honesty mixing in with blunt, it can be harsh but I have been working on both so hopefully it will not affect me in the future.

I know you all shall be wondering about my demotion so here I have copied this from a thread I commented on. I would like to just state I was great in game with helping, connecting with players and also having a laugh. But when it came to forums not so much I made a hand full of comments that never needed to be said, I have never taken into account how you all perceive me I just do me and whether you all liked me or not that's how it would turn out (which for the foremost was/is positive which is great). So with a hand full of comments I made it would have not just make an impact on myself but the team as well. The way I seen it though the demotion was a good thing, sometimes you need to take a step back to continue forward. As well as having a low modreq count I did complete them when they were there but due to timezones there was not that many, I always continued to help when people would message me and when other staff members needed help with modreqs I would get online to help whether others are there to help or not. I see it nothing more than professional, I was a bitter at first because I really enjoyed it but it was the right thing to do to clearly state to me that stupid comments like that will not be tolerated.

With all this being said have a look on forums, see me in game and join in on team speak to see what I am like all round.

A month has gone by in which I do believe I am ready to be staff again, that will all come down to you the people and the team. All we can do is continue to help each other and wait until it opens again.

Yeah VKL is a risky reference since he has been banned a lot, we talked on Teamspeak a fair amount and in game so I thought it would be suitable, I understand where you are coming from haha.

Also Paincake is reference.

 

Real staff work to myself is guiding the players through the server, helping the players with problems they have whether they ask you through message or mod request, going over suggestions given by the players, reporting issues, moderating the forums and also correctly punishing players that want to do the wrong thing. Last but not least playing a part in making the server fun and enjoyable.
I believe that I myself ticked all of these boxes.

I witnessed a staff member that was available say to a player make a mod request or I can not help you while they was with the player. If I was to do that when players asked me on Team speak for help or messaged me I would have a lot more mod requests since I was partly banned for a low mod request count.

Majority of the time I was online by myself and completed the tasks of what I believe real staff work is.
We all may have different opinions on what real staff work is but I respect your opinion.

Hello, so a lot of your previous issues were internal staff things, those of which you and I have talked about already. You have a really positive aura to the majority of the community but you hardly did any real staff work and you had a tendency to use your staff powers for personal gain. I'm not sure if you have changed in the past month because like I said, you've always had a very friendly vibe that most people see. It's the sporadic rudeness and the "I'm-too-cool" attitude that isn't so great, especially as a mod, which a lot of people look up to. I think time is the best way to reassure us that you really have changed, which is why I am a -1 as of now. PM me if you want and clarifications on anything I said. Good luck Kling.

 

Alright, I will keep the roasting to a minimal since the comments need to get accepted before everyone can see them.

The first time I came upon oKLINGo was on TeamSpeak. He was a bit of an odd ball, that was my original opinion. But, the more the you talk to him, the more you realise how much of a gentleman he is. If he wasn't ginger, the ladies would be flocking over him like when someone used to open a pack of gum in school, absolutely mauled. Now lets get down to business. Don't take relationship advice from a ginger. That's like taking driving lessons from someone with no licence.

Kieran, you are very active and this time zone is lacking staff to moderate the server. Experience is not an issue regarding being staff, but in other departments, I would think so.

- VKL as a reference is strange, I understand it's a character reference but usually we like people more trustworthy

Serious Answer:+1 Oklingo is held in high esteem across Meepcraft and despite being promoted, is still sticking around in an attempt to be re-promoted. He's the only reason why I and several others are still sticking around meepcraft. I do believe that everyone above me as already stated why he should be promoted, so I'll cut to the chase with my not serious answer.

Not Serious Answer: ( +1 of greatness) I have come back from the dead, from the cold desolate, somewhere between moist and dry dirt to state just how great this man is. This man is like a brother,bro, broda, brotha from another motha, an oniichan, irmão, broer, you get the idea. This man's voice is like butter, slathering itself all over your back, making you feel uncomfortable, but at home. This man has skillz that our simple monkey minds cannot comprehend, like making one minute rice in 58 seconds. I don't want to say that this man is god, but he's definetly god. We're talking about the full package, Ares, Athena, Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, the whole squad all melded into his strong calves and biceps. His voice calms even the most ADHD child on a sugar high, wrapping the kid in the comforting klingy silence of garlic flavored butter. He has successfully diffused three wars, prevented World War IV, went back into time and punched Hitler and Stalin, has turned wine into gold, walked on water, directed eight movies all at the same time on the same set, and has made me the incredibly gorgeous man I am today using his handsomeness powers.

You are online when there is no other staff available.
Yes as you said you are blunt/honest but that's one of the things we like about you. And I think that also adds to why you were loved as a staff member.
As for people saying you were salty after your demotion, don't worry I know a lot of ex staff members that were the same. Plus it would've been a shock to you, as it was to a lot of us players.
I also know that you love meep and stayed active even after you were demoted.

You're a great friend and a wonderful person. A lot of people depend on you since you're independent. You helped me with a lot of things, and you still do today.
You were worthy of moderator, you still are, and it doesn't matter to me what anyone else thinks of you. The staff team lost something valuable and that was you.

Oh I was just about to ask you when you were going to put your app up +1! You are active, nice to the community, give people a reason to play on the server, build relationships with the players, and overall just a kind person. You deserve to be staff again and I hope you don't mess up again to be demoted.

Kling after your demotion you took it as anyone normally take it but after a couple of days you did show how mature you are about these situations.You then turned it around into a positive thing. I believe that you will be a great addition to the staff team. Good luck fellow Australian
