Introduction: I introduced myself a lot of times already to each and every one of you, but there are still some people who might not know me, so I’d like to start of,

Hello, My name is Sean.

I’ve started playing computers at the age of 4 when my friends introduced me to a video game called “WarCraft III: Frozen Throne”. They helped me and explained how the game works in full details, in the young age, I’ve started playing LAN and Online games already.

I, myself, can’t believe that I’m known in my school and in my hometown, as a fast typer. Which is, the fact that I’m proud of.

I saw MineCraft on youtube, I disliked it pretty much since it’s just a blocks game and it looks so bad, but when I tried the trial of it, I really got into it. I told my Australian friend about it and I was really sadden when I realized it was only a trial, so I told him about it, after a day, he bought me a minecraft gift code and told me to register, I did not have any idea about it when I just realized, I was already using a premium account.

I’ve first got into MineCraft multiplayer server in the middle-times of 2014, I played around in survival but I was kinda confused on how the multiplayer server works, I tried it and the first server I played was a farmcraft, but after a month, the server’s player-base started to decrease and it got really boring, so I moved to another server to play SkyBlock. Also, the same scenario I got bored and I tried to find another skyblock server, and that’s how I stumbled upon MeepCraft.

The first town I ever joined at MeepCraft’s towny server was owned by a player named ‘emmettz’, I only had a two-plot house which only consisted of a house and a farm, but when I heard the town was about to be sold, I moved to a town which was owned by “Monkeyhead1999”. I got assistant, I was really happy but an incident happened where I really got mad which I don’t want to explain.


This isn’t my first time applying for helper, I’m currently a high school sophomore, and I believe that I have improved since then, to tackle on the job and responsibilities of being a Helper.

Why should you be Helper? I myself, have learned many things from moderating virtual game servers. One must have dedication and patience. If you are not a kind, helpful and an understanding person, moderating the server would be a complete fail.

Giving out answers and assisting players is important, but when it comes to going further to demonstrate your explanation and teaching how to solve someone’s issue or question, I have the extra initiative in helping as a staff member. I for myself, feel something when I help a player. Satisfaction, a feeling that I would feel whenever I would help someone, letting them walk away with a smile on their faces. Yes, they might be confused and angry if they’re facing a huge problem, but I try my best to calmly assist them. I know that everytime I help someone, it truly brings satisfaction and happiness to me knowing that I have helped someone.

The players and the new players of the community has never let me disappointed throughout these years, MeepCraft has been here for more than four years already which is a solid proof of its standing up to the test of time. MeepCraft with it’s brilliance and amazing concepts. I am confident of myself that I will be dedicated and willing to spare most of my time in helping the community, looking out for each other.

As I have stated above, I am patient-type of a person. My father is a businessman and I’ve been there to his business transactions with people and I have learned something from those. You must have good communication skills in order to grasp the attention of someone at something. I’ve been staff to other games, such as, GTA, GMod servers, and a lot more that I don’t want to mention. And also because of the fact that I’ve owned several mega huge towns in MeepCraft.

One of my specialties is bringing fun and amazing experiences to other players. I try my best to understand the player when it comes to the helping scenario.

I will always act calm when it comes to administrating and I would do my best to help. I have experiences in administrating servers, I’ve known some commands but I am prepared to learn more especially when it comes to administrating and responding to questions. I will do my best and use the commands that I will be receiving to its fullest extent for the good of the server, and the community itself.

I also want to state that as a helper, I would be given more privileges to help and administrate the server better. As a helper, it is easier to catch rule breakers. With the help of the /modreq system and the reports section at the forums. But I want to ensure you all that I will not abuse these commands to my own personal benefit.

I myself, know that being staff isn’t about fame and the power. It’s the chance to assist and make the community happy and give someone a good experience. It is a change to be a good example to the server and to the players. Since being a helper would give you more privileges, I can be able to identify a rule breaker in MeepCraft easier.



I would also like to state out six more reasons why I applied for helper:

Activity – I always have extra time for MeepCraft. I might be a bit inactive recently, because of school. But I have good news, Next month, It would be the end of the school year, so after that we will have about two months of vacation which would result in me being more active in game. Since I am active on the server, I will be able to do staff work. I am active in all aspects of the server, including forums and teamspeak. I also have Skype and Minechat installed on my personal phone. I also have my own laptop which means I can be on at my spare time. Due to my activity, I would be able to perform my role as a staff member and be one of the best staff members in the process.

Dedication – I’ve been on the server for almost two years now, and it’s been a blast! Seeing different players and interacting with them, and the community is such a great experience. I fell in love at MeepCraft at first sight. I dedicate most of my spare to MeepCraft, I love MeepCraft and its community. Being a dedicated member, I feel this would help me be a great helper.

Work ethic – Helping people is what satisfies me, If I helped someone, I am very satisfied and proud of myself. Being a staff member is to have a strong work ethic, and I do believe I have a strong work ethic. When it comes to assisting players, I won’t base at the quantity but to the quality. I will try my best to help them and make them happy. I always try to reach out at the players via /msg and the global chat. I tend o help them more on global chat though, I answer their questions, but in rare occasions, I would teleport to them and help them myself. Even to the most complicated questions, I try my best to finish and solve the issue.

Involvement – I always try my best to be involved with the community. One way on how I do it is Teamspeak. I’m on Teamspeak on a daily basis as this is the place where I could speak, and interact easier to the community. In game, I try my best to interact and be involved with the community too, I use global chat a lot but not in a spammy way. I am also active in the forums, I always hop in at Forums regularly, If I am not in game, you could talk to me here. Therefore, I conclude that I am involved at the community and I love being involved at the community and the server itself.

Experience – I may don’t have any experience in being a staff member in MeepCraft, but I have been staff to some other video games and minecraft servers, and what I’ve learned from it is that you must have dedication, patience, and you must be eager to help the community. But from my relationships with other staff members, I know how moderating works and I know what it feels like to be a staff member, it might be hard, but I know I will really enjoy it and it’s one of the best things I can do, is to give back at the server and the community. I don’t have any experience using Prism but I would like to learn more on it, as I am always eager to learn when it comes to this. With this experience, I believe this would make me a great candidate.

Determination – I am a determined person. I’m almost at my two year anniversary and I’ve been applying on those times, I was met by -1 votes and I have had my rough spots. But I chose to stay and improved myself, something that shows determination, and it shouldn’t be mistook for desperation, I just enjoy playing here and helping the community and want to be staff, which is obvious.

I am not a "rankist" player.

I am the kind of a guy who genuinely, wants to help.

I believe I’ve been an excellent citizen, helping out and being nice wherever I went.

What are your weaknesses? Self-control – I’m only 14 years old and I believe, I can’t act to be a matured person most of the time, but I always try to be serious when it is needed, and I do believe that seriousness won’t do anything good to you as a staff member. I don’t want to be real serious when it comes to moderating but I don’t want to joke around either, I don’t want to be so strict at the community since one of the reasons why I’m applying is because I want to help the community, I’m currently in the process of improving this weakness and I ensure you, I will soon learn how to control myself.

Straightforward – Sometimes, I will be very straightforward. This might help me in some situations, however in some occasions, some players might take it an as offensive way of act. I do this because I don’t want to kiss up or be a biased person most of the time. However, I ensure you too that I will improve on this attitude to improve my overall reputation and friendliness.

You just came back again.
As with every single time to apply, you have to be active and work for you position for months ahead of time. I have no idea who you are anymore. I don't know if you've improved or not.
You can't just tell me, you have to show me.

 

-1. You have a habit of getting denied and then "quitting," only to return. Prove to the server that you are a loyal community member.

 

Honestly you have been qualified in the past, but you have incredibly gone down since then. You're going back to being how you were in your earlier applications, and I think the only reason why you want the position is to finish what you started. You seem less qualified now, and I want to see you try more on other things, besides your application, before I would want to see you as staff.
