I agree with Old_Pink on this one. A lot of people are being hypocritical and rude towards pizzafest.

No, the majority of staff discussions are on Skype.
He has Teamspeak and staff meetings are always announced before they occur on Teamspeak. He does not have to be on it all the time. It's unnecessary.
I don't understand why the capital letters were necessary to get your point across. It's very unnecessary, he can obviously read.

You spelled grammar wrong and capitalization wrong so I'm unsure why you are degrading him.

His application was still legible and I'm not sure if you are one to judge somebody else's grammar, anyways.

I'm confused on why this appears so. If anything I thought it was polite.

This post is simply disrespectful coming from a staff member who should offer not only criticism, but also, solutions for the player to better themselves delivered in a respectful and calm manner.

Please review the definition I posted above.

Upon reading this application you literally had three options:
1. be rude
2. give him constructive criticism
3. don't post at all
You had two other completely decent choices and you chose number 1.

Do not listen to the people degrading you. If it's your dream, pursue it, pizzafest.

 

Don't see you in game. Weaknesses should be like a paragraph long as well as your conclusion. It looks like you wrote down your intro and why, got bored, and just said 'eh whatevs.' I'd work a ton on your grammar ( I know you have a broken arm so I'm not worried about capitalization and such, but really, spellcheck, buddy. Spellcheck.)
Now I'll focus on why why. It was an okay length, but filled with no-nos.

I see a lot of desparation. A lot of desparation here. And no real reasons! Why should you be a helper? Don't give us the ''I want to be helper so I can help people by helper with a helper title.' attitude. Give us reasons. Look at accepted apps for examples.
You need to be active on teamspeak to be a helper. I can't stress that enough. The majority of staff meetings and discussions are on teamspeak.
Also, I only see you in game a little bit and don't see you helping. I'm at a -1, good luck.

 

Showing this rebellious replies won't help you in any way for staff. If you were to make a mistake on an app don't say, "Oh doesn't matter what he said, I'll just actually try next time". That shows that you aren't committed enough to face the facts that you made a mistake.

Pizzafest,

I saw your -1 on my helper app, so I had to stop by to check out yours. For a 12 year old, it is decent. It's a little repetitive in places, and could use the work of an editor/proofreader for spelling and grammar, but it's a great attempt, and conveys your enthusiasm well. Unfortunately, I don't see you online at the same time as I am, so I can't comment on your involvement in the community. I see a lot of responses from you in the forums, so you appear to be pretty active here, which is a plus. I also like that you are working on making good grades, which is a definite plus in my book!

Overall, the pluses outweigh the minuses, so I'm going to give you a +.5 for now. If you don't make it this time, spend a little more time on your app and thinking about how you can make a positive impact on the server prior to becoming a Helper. I think you're on the right path to get there, though!

-1 I'm sorry, but the app wasn't the best, but never give up on your dreams. One day you could be the highest ranked staff, if you try a little harder!

Still, to everyone else commenting and saying "you're desperate" or "what a bad app" Just step back and think about how you would feel in his case. All that matters is that he tried, so instead of giving him an obvious, and rude reason, give him a bit of extra feedback, something is better than nothing! And good luck pizzafest on future apps!
