Denied Best Posts in Thread: XeStorm's Ban Appeal

XeStorm, when you resigned from staff you told us that you had a lot going on in your life, and that you would be back in two months. You failed to mention that you and your dad were working on your own server while you were a staff member here and were leaving to launch it. This is an obvious conflict of interest. When several staff members discovered your server, they decided to oppose your re-entry to the staff team. However, you were not banned for this.

As we explored your website and server, however, we noticed several similarities to Meepcraft: you used the same forum software. You used a very similar forum section structure. You mimicked the the server structure (Towny, Skyblock, etc). You used nearly the same set of plugins that we use on Meepcraft. However, we realized two things: First, that imitation is the highest form of flattery, and second, that your server is extremely unlikely to pose a threat as a competitor to Meep. You were not banned for this.

Unfortunately, you went a step further. You didn't just mimic Meep: you copied entire documents from our site and used them as your own. You copied our rules. You copied our ban appeal information. You copied our staff application format and tips. As I am typing this, your website still contains these sentences:

You lifted our work and documents verbatim. I'm sure you are aware that plagiarism is a despicable act, and you and your dad should be ashamed. This is why you are banned, and this is why your appeal is denied.
