Speaking of which, Beta 1.7.3 was probably my favorite update. I like to think of Beta 1.8 as the update that marked the separation of Minecraft from an indie game to a fully fledged game. Minecraft is much, much better now than before, but 1.7 will always be my favorite as it, I guess, marks the end of my nostalgia for Minecraft. I still have a modded 1.7.3 world I play every so often.

Dear God, have you guys even seen an actual serious fight (Badlion, Kohi, etc.,) with this new PvP? It takes absolutely forever. There aren't really combos anymore, and things like strafing are worthless now unless you're obscenely good at hitting while moving around. PvP is more than just "spam clicking"; there are many skilled aspects in 1.8 pvp (e.g. strafing and movements). This is no more skilled than annoying.

I won't even talk about mobs. Fighting mobs with this new update is a nightmare. Usually, if I'm shieldless, skeletons will hit every single shot. God forbid my Fire Aspect sword hits them, they land a shot while I'm trying to hit them again to kill them, and I get annoyingly set on fire. Zombies are also more annoying (especially if they have been set on fire).

 

I'm for keeping 1.9pvp, not necessarily because I think it's better, but because the "1.8 pvp" plugins are atrocious. The one right now, that has the shield that pops up when you switch to a sword, doesn't work well at all. Shield doesn't pop up half the time, and sometimes will eat items you have in your offhand slot.

Fix the plugin or keep 1.9pvp, IMO.

 

new pvp will take some getting used to, it's just really frustrating when fighting mobs. especially when you're in the unlucky situation where you are being bombarded by literally 17 mobs at the same time. in a cave. super fun. but i'm getting better at it, slowly but surely.

nonetheless i do like when a big change is implemented, which is why i loved when 1.7 came out, my friends and i were pumped. plus it added those oh-so-forgotten secret setting filters that i still like to play around with today, even though it lags the h out on my laptop.

Those two have very little to do with each other, whereas 1.8 PVP and 1.9PVP have a lot to do with each other. People just don't like accepting that their precious pvp system has been changed, much like people couldn't accept that food filled their hunger rather than their health, what, 5 years ago?

Learn to enjoy the new system, like you learned to enjoy hunger and regeneration. These half-assed plugins that destroy what's in your offhand slot and have buggy "shields" that don't work half the time, those are not worth having the old pvp system.

 

So we are going to blank out all the players who hated pvp before but now enjoy it to the new changes?

 

4. 1.3.1 was my favorite update. I was on a trip at the time, and when me and my brother logged on and saw emeralds we almost died. My first update! I joined 1.2.5

 

You're salty af, im finding new combat fine. Just been changed so old tactics of spam clicking don't work. Anyway 1.10 elytra yay!

 

People hated it because they sucked at it. All the new pvp does it make it so ITS THE SAME PVP but slower. There's nothing new as minecraft movement is the same, so now you got great pvpers who are still the best however since movement is the same its just a slower and more boring fight

Not even going to bother, I've already explained countless times that pvp isn't just slam clicking. Funny how the people who are garbage at pvp think it's just spam clicking when I probably click as fast as them

 

Okay and you move a bit. End of the day pvp now might be slower than you were used to but now requires atleast some skill in terms of timing. Old pvp was just clicking fast and on target. If you hit more times in faster time you win. Now it's just slower with timings to stop the spam clicking, just every second now. So yes it is slower but now requires more timing.

 

Just to add to the 1.8 vs 1.9 PvP discussion. I prefer timing my clicks rather than buying a new mouse every month, thank you very much.

Also, I liked 1.6.2 probably the most. I feel like it stuck around for the longest of times. The horse hype was amazing

 

"1.9 requires more skill", except for the fact that 90% of the time hits don't register and 100% of the time it requires LESS skill because you don't need worry about combos or W tapping or anything like that

Listen you can like what you like and that's fine. I know for a fact that 1.7 has a higher skill cap, and I also know none of you plan to become good at either 1.7, or 1.9. It's silly to argue something like that. This is my last post here, PM if you want any explanations but don't be petty and respond with anything to get the last word

 

You're now being petty and pathetic about the whole thing, started of as a troll, saying that i would start a rage pvp post and look you did. Congratulations. You're whole arguement is so screwed up. So i will make a handy list that you can easily read, seeing as you had trouble with that at the beginning.
1) Hits not regersting means that you might want or need to get a better pc or mouse, or possibly internet connection as your ping will be the problem. Ofc it can't be that you now miss sometimes... Noo never.
2) Bringing in that something to do witha mouse. Idk why. But dw bout me. Equipment is not a problem for me.
3) Learn what facts are and what 100% mean. You really don't make much sense in relation to this, in your post.
