As of now, if you're selling something on the vshop and decide to buy the same item, you can't buy it unless you cancel all your items, buy it, and sell them again. This is a nuisance--today I was selling 19 diamond leggings, needed one, and had to cancel EVERYTHING and pay the tax again once I listed them again. I'd suggest that you'd buy the cheapest item not yours eg. if you sell 1600 stone for 1 each, and someone else sells 100 stone for 1.5, if you did /buy 50 stone it would buy 50 stone for 1.5 each.
