Vein Miner

(and dark oak?)

 

It's really, really nice for dark oak. They're so annoying to break.

 

+1 because Boom is let's all admit probably one of the smartest people on Meep so umm why not!? Plus it would help conserve time, ya know because I have a very busy schedule on Meep.

 

Don't forget to not enable it for spruce trees, as they can also be grown as a giant 2 x 2!

 

You can set a max size capacity to limit those.

 

Or you know you could just make it only vein mine in that chunk.

 

I think this is a great idea. I'm not sure if this is in it but if there are more ores in a vein when you vein mine it will take you longer and the less there are the shorter it will take. Maybe an equation should be
S×O/3, where S is the speed of breaking the ore without ore miner and O, is how many ores there are. So the speed of breaking the vein is still 3 times faster but not too fast.
Also, I think this should be transferred into an enchanted book so everyone can get it and they can put it on any tool they want such as axes, or hoes.
You may be sat there thinking how would this work on hoes. Well here is my idea you make your platform and use any block besides dirt to form you boundaries. This should work on level changes but if the community doesn't want it on level changes then maybe not.

With these suggestions it will still keep Vein Miner fast but not too fast, It will allow any rank to get Vein Miner on any tool but it requires Meebles, and it may work on other tools other than axes and pickaxes. I am not good at coding. I don't know if my suggestions are hard to implement or not. Please to not get mad for I have no knowledge of coding.

 

Nah, I think it should be kept to a rank perk, as this would increase donations. I think that it wouldn't make a huge difference if the speed was kept as it is with one block. After all, the tool still decreases durability. The point is to decrease time, and making it depend on block amount wouldn't change the speed significantly, just add more work to code in my opinion.
However, I'd love to see this suggestion implemented as a rank perk, it would be so cool to see.

 

It's not all about the money. Servers are about having fun

 

Server has to stay up somehow. If you're dedicated enough you should be able to buy a rank through a rank seller, if there are any left.

 

Speaking more from a dev standpoint, this just isn't practical. It's difficult to change how fast blocks can be broken, at best. Most methods don't work at all for that. It'd be a lot easier to make a completely new plugin than change this one to do that.

 

There are, Shellcode (Spyda6/7) was (is?) selling ranks recently. It got easier to make money with voting and new quests and stuff, so a their number lessened, so it is harder to find one. Not impossible though.

As said above, the server needs to get donations to keep running. And if more and more people don't find ranks attractive enough to buy ranks, then the server will have a lot more trouble keeping afloat.

 

You would more than likely have to use a command to activate vein miner, and you would have to activate it again after breaking something, so why wouldn't they just give you mining fatigue 1/2/3/4? The higher the rank they could get a lesser mining fatigue; Exe(4), Elite(3), Supreme(2), and Ultimate(1).

Edit: NVM you can't break anything with mining fatigue 3-4

 

Its not like fuzzlr spends money for backup, server computers, advertisement etc just because he wants us to have fun

 

What does he want us to have? A bad time and leave so the player count gets lower?

 

He actually wants us to have fun but that is not the main purpose of a minecraft server this big

 

I would agree. There's two groups: the server owner/staff and the server (as in the company part). Neither can survive without the other. The server owner/staff want all to have fun while the server needs money to run. If there's no fun or no money, then both the server owner/staff and the server don't get what they want.
