This server though

I have to agree with Boobear1227 , you can't just say "fix the server". There is a lot to it than just that.
You can apply for staff, tech and media. I know how much everyone wants to "fix" this server.

The fact is that we have glitches/minigame problems and other things that are holding us back.
However we are working constantly on it, and hopefully soon we won't have any more.

Also do you know how powerful the word of mouth is? You can tell your friends at school to try the server out,
you can do other things than just complain that Meep is dying out or that its not popular anymore.
If you have the energy and time to make multiple threads about the server "dying" then you must have enough
energy and time to do something about it.

 

if all you are doing is endlessly complaining about how something isn't right why aren't you spending your time on something that you are actually content with instead of just praying that they might fix this cesspool of 21 players

Minecraft is just on the decline period. I hate to say it.

 

I hate how everyone says 'oh yes staff are working hard on new projects, etc.' without even telling us what those projects are. If staff released regular updates on what they have been working on and when certain things can be added/fixed a lot of these threads about how 'meepcraft is dying' would stop. We need to see what staff is doing. Then people would realize that something is being done to help the server.

 

I know, but there are so many things on trello that I don't find it useful. I don't know whats being worked on and when a possible completion date could be. I bet that there are some things in there that haven't even been touched. I want to know what stuff is being done now.

I think MeepCraft really needs to go back to its roots and really focus on towny. A redesign of the towny dynamics could potentially be a good thing for the server. For me, MeepCraft's fun level started to decline when towny beta came around, as I have explained before. I stopped playing because towns felt meaningless, and nobody cared about commiting themself to one town. When I first joined Meep long ago, joining a(n) *active* town was like joining a brotherhood. Now, it's hollow of meaning; a new player joins, builds a house, chats twice, then quits forever because no one gives a damn about them, because they are only valuable to milk tax money. That's not how it used to be...

Meepcraft had this charm at one time that made me want to log on everyday, to grow my town and enjoy time with friends. I've personally donated a fair amount of money to this server (Ultimate, also bought my irl friends VIP). It was worth it at the time being. When I officially quit (Yeah, I have like 3 times Kappa), I had 23 million meebles, ultimate rank, a giant town, and approximately 5 million meebles worth of heads. I was at the pinnicle of my MeepCraft economic status. And, it felt like nothing. No one actually cared about towns, and I had very few friends because other people just wanted my money. It created a quite stale experience, and it's sad. I really just wish we could play in the days of one towny world again. I realize why Beta was created, but it had side effects that really ruined MeepCraft for me.

You strike notes that resonate with me too, the most important part of the server is the community. What we forget is that every day it gets built upon, citizen return rate and further vip conversion are singlehandedly the most important facets of this server we should never ignore.
We cannot do that if we don't give the players a sense of being "tied" to something, whether it be friends, a town, or the community as a whole.

How can you or I do that crusher? I ask myself every day, you certainly fit the bill for a great leader, start again, focus on amassing a collection of meepers you personally indoctrinated, apply for staff, who knows... I vibe with you tho man +1

The community makes the community, never forget that.

 

It's not that people became inactive, it's that all the players that made this server fun are now all banned lol

 

It could be that we aren't attracting as many players as we lose due to loss of interest, which most players will experience no matter what is added to Meepcraft.
