So as I'm sitting in the dentist chair I decided to make a thread about my experience. When I first walked through the door of said dentist office I got a big wiff of that smell you know the way doctors and hospitals smell. I make my way up to the counter fill out all the paper work blah blah blah. Literally 30 minutes goes by im still chillin in the waiting room. Suddenly this mom that was next to me gets up starts yelling and cussing at the poor nurses about how she's been waiting almost an hour. She decided to leave as soon as they called her name to come back and slammed the door since she waited so long and it's all their fault. It has to be one of the funniest things I've seen yet. Finally, I get called back do all my X-rays (I've never been here before) and get into a room. Literally, 45 minutes later I'm still chillin but now I'm in the dentist chair just sitting here writing this passage. I'm assuming my wisdom teeth are what's causing my face to swell up but I don't know since im still waiting for the doctor, paitently I might add. We've all been to the dentist or the orthodontist but do you have any horrible memories or bad times? Have you been put to sleep or had braces? Has your mom pitched a fit for waiting so long? Have you had teeth pulled or cavities filled? I'm extremely bored if you couldn't tell.

Oh man when I was about 6 years old I went to the dentist and I had a loose tooth. This dentist was real shady might I add, like, had to have his assistant talk to me because he couldn't speak English shady. So he goes on cleaning my teeth, and my mouth is really sensitive so I'm all squirmy and whatnot. At the very end he's like ah yes you have a loose tooth! And I was like well ya the tooth fairy needs to come and get it! So completely ignoring what I said, he asks my mom to leave the room and he shoots some injection in my mouth to numb it. I was shaking at this point. I didn't even want to look down but I could tell by the manner of which he had his hand in my mouth that he was going to pull that sucker out. The thing was, it was in there pretty friggen good! He had to literally yank it out; it was like the dentist scene in Finding Nemo lol. I was crying of course, and it got worse. I couldn't find my tooth! We looked everywhere on the white spotted floor and it was no where to be found...needless to say, we never went back to that dentist. However, I did get a dollar under my pillow that night (thanks mom)
tl;dr always ask your dentist what they're doing and don't be afraid to speak up -

My mother is an orthodontist. Does that explain my life well enough, or must I go into more detail?

So there was a time in which I had been called a bad name and I didn't like what the kid said so I told him I didn't. Kid got mad and punched me up the Knocker. He hit me so hard my tooth went into my jaw. I went to the surgery place and my doctor was Mexican. He didnt speak any English whatsoever and I got really scared when he took out his things. Like you june I asked about the tooth fairy for my tooth and he replies with "No habla Englais" I was like whattttttt. Then he proceeds to inject something in my mouth that made me laugh so hard I felt my lungs dying. I eventually fell asleep and they did my procedure. I awoke and there was literally blood everywhere. There had been this mishap that caused them to cut my jaw open. The dentist had apparently had me taken to the ER because it had been this huge Nick that caused my tooth to go to my jawbone. This dude hadn't known how to control the anesthesia and I awoke in lots of pain. The nurses took control though, and I was soon fine.

Wow you guys have some great stories! Turns out it was my wisdom teeth and I have to get them removed. I do have a pretty bad infection because of it and I have to take 40 antibiotic pills every 8 hours. OMG! They gave me some pretty great pain pills too so it won't hurt so bad anymore.

I have always been afraid of going to the dentist but i have never had a bad experience that is worth telling.
The only reason i agreed to go was because when it was all done, the dentist would go a grab a bowl of toys and i could pick anything i wanted. I always took purple bracelets and smurfs because purple was the real deal and smurfs? I don't know, they were just blue and cute??!
I don't go to the dentist as often now. Once a year, maybe two?? But i don't get the toys anymore lol -
when i had braces i broke so many brackets that i had to go to the orthodontist way too many times but i became good friends with the assistant.

This isn't about the dentist but it's still strange. My school nurse hates everyone but the teachers. Basically the more pain you're in the more she doesn't like/care about you. For example, I broke my elbow she thought it wasn't actually broken, and said I was defiant for screaming at her when I was in major pain. Honestly I tried to stand up for myself but she only rolled her eyes - I even almost fainted in Chorus once and it happened to be 3pm, about the time school gets out. Right there she assumes that I'm trying to get out of school, in this case I'm not. Luckily my friends and I plan to talk to someone about this, haha.

I went to this eye doctor, and I got these eye drops, and I could barely see. They let me pick a toy from a hat, but my vision was blurred, so I picked a broken British taxi, which I still have today, 8 years later (looking at it right now)
