Anyway, I don't see a particular issue with burkinis, there is definitely an issue with the progressive liberal attitude towards islam in general. They aren't a race, criticisms of them aren't arbitrary. Islam is a set of ideas, we need to be able to criticize and ridicule bad ideas.

I mean, they do have civil rights, albeit their system frames the entire structure much different than we do. But I agree that we should be free to criticize and ridicule Islam, or any other religion or asinine ideology. I do not necessarily agree with prohibiting a style of clothing under the guise of safety because once you open the floodgates on prohibing behavior/normally inane action for safety, you can quickly find yourself in a much more authoritarian system than expected / realized.

I agree that refusing to recognize current terrorism trends we (America/Western Europe) suffer originate from Islamic lands. But I refuse to concede that Islam is any more/less violent than Christianity, if we look at their holy books. I maintain current terrorism trends are multi-faceted, originating from a culture that is largely surpressed, uneducated and poor and that Islam is really just the current vehicle being used to convince people to commit these acts, just as other religions/ideologies have been used in the past. Current terrorism isn't about religion, but geopolitics and greed, the common human motivator for war.
