Essentially Ambassador is awarded to admins that contributed a lot to the server and left on good terms. In-game, ambassadors do not inherently have admin permissions, but certain ones are given them if they're helping the server when they're around. Ambassadors have the potential of becoming Admins again if they become super active. Besides perms, the biggest difference between the two is that Admins make high-level decisions regarding staff and the overall day-to-day operations of the server, and Ambassadors do not (and are mostly around for advice).
