I don't think helpers have much to do with Eula and perks. That's techs and mods.

This is interesting, as it is and isn't. It's like having two equal employees, but one can work for an hour longer for free. Which would you choose? Honestly Kling was great AND always on when many couldn't be.

Yes, I can quite agree to what you're saying. It's similar the Immigration Act of 1924, which intentionally favored western European immigrants compared to the south and the east due to culture and discrimination.
However, there is one thing that I would like to point out we may not be able to see.
Australians, Americans, and British personalities are not to be stereotyped, but in my experience I've had a bit of an evaluation of various virtues. Please pardon me, but this is what I have experienced on Teamspeak.
    • Australians tend to be more aggressive, especially towards friends. They have a lot of fun giving each other rough versions of teasing, most of which Americans are not accustomed to. As a result, us in the U.S. or U.K. are more likely to become offended by their version of friendship. It's not that their version of friendship is wrong, but it is misunderstood.
    • I haven't communicated with as many British as I have Australians, but what I can see from the U.K. are mostly people who are very proud. I've walked into many conversations about the real world, and if it's not about the real world it's a topic that the British brought to the table.
    • Americans? Well...I can't say much since it's me. I'd enjoy to have your input on what the typical American is like.
    • Oh, and Europeans besides U.K. or Ireland are almost always easy for me to get along with. Not sure about you guys.
What I'm saying is, I believe that due to our different virtues, it's sometimes difficult to understand one or the other. No, not everyone is like this, but can we deny the fact that we have all grown up in different communities with other cultures, religion, thousands of miles away from each other? An Australian acting like an Australian is good for all the other Australians because they are going to be able to understand and trust someone of their culture, which is where I believe the staff are divided upon. They're basically asking people from all over the world to cooperate and do the same exact thing, and since the staff team is so widely dominated by players in the U.S, I believe that is one of the small reasons why there can be conflict, such as what had occurred with @Kling. Granted, I'm not quite sure what happened there, but I like to understand why people do what they do. Kling is a rough individual, and can also be blunt. This doesn't mean he was a bad staff member. What it means is he is capable of communicating with other Australians and British in a manner that appeals to them.
Perhaps this is something I should bring into context the next time I -1 someones application.

This is completely irrelevant to the topic. Would you rather have good helpers for a couple hours? Or horrible helpers 24/7

Latly there has been very few staff on during the early hours and there isnt really that many modreqs. How do I know this because i filed on this morning asking about my bans. Like 5 seconds later Courtney msgs me and she was chill about. (Btw she called me a bad child). So theres not really any reason they should open them back up for a little bit. Given the serconstances, they have alot to deal with right now. Working on new perks, skywars, and many other countless things that should be considered before hand.

Let's take a step back shall we?

    1. Are you personally wanting to apply for the helper position? If yes, then awesome I so look forward to your application once the time becomes available for us to open them back up. I advise you to take this time while we have them down to become an outstanding member of the community and continue being active while you are continuing on making your application TOP notch! If not I don't understand why this is needed.
    2. I believe that the recently added staff members along with myself are more than capable of handling what is required of a helper. They never "rushed" us actually they wen't quite slow and calm in my opinion and did the interviews one at a time over the course of a few days.

    3. While we have the application process closed temporarily we've given our staff team the time to get things done that are 100% needed with 100% focus from everybody on the team. IF we had them open right now a number of things would happen one being letting the applications sit there while making applicants feel unwanted and very discouraged because we simply don't have the time nor focus to train new helpers since there is so much going on and we do not want that.

Now jumping back is having the staff application section closed THAT big of a deal as to where it causes so much chaos. The answer is no, it's not and regardless if I am staff or not I think this decision by the staff team is very purposeful and I apologize that you cannot see that.

Honestly we are damned if we do damned if we don't. We recruit new members and we get criticized for having "too many helpers" but when we don't we get criticized for not having enough helpers regardless of time-zones. It isn't the end of the world I promise, all will be okay. Elsa said it best when she said LET IT GO!

As long as staff answer your modreq you shouldnt talk bad about them trying to do their job. To be honest this disgusts me really. How many modreqs have you filed and a staff came to answer it? Im sure a lot. What are they suppose to do? Drop every thing to come tell you who stole your dirt? No its not fair for them and it ruins the enjoyment of meep for them. Be patent.

Really? is his post just that despicable that it disgusts you? is it just so horribly awfully terribly bad that you were purely and absolutely disgusted by it?

All jokes and banter aside, it's unfortunate to see so many complaint threads about the staff. I've ceased playing in-game but I do hope it gets better sometime, if it even is that bad. Right now I think the main issue is the eula, and that is big, so they've taken time into alleviating that problem.

Hello, read only the first post and none others.

Staff did not rush to accept new people to the staff team, all were considered/thought about for quite some time. The staff team is a VERY important part of MeepCraft community and choosing who can have certain commands that regular meepers don't have is no light task.

Staff training is currently going on to get the staff that "aren't doing much better than previous staff team members" better and more efficient. It's why apps are currently closed. I think that all the staff IVE seen accepted were actually very good moves on behalf of the staff team.

You've also got to keep in mind everything the server is going through and there's a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff going on. No, not suggesting some Illuminati-CG type stuff, I'm talking more of good things that will occur sometime; hopefully soon.

Good work staff, good luck training and keep doing a great job!

EDIT: the problem is, I believe most of the people that play Meep are in the US, correct me if I'm wrong because I am undoubtedly wrong a lot: so if someone's that's not in the US applies, and they aren't fit for staff, would you like us to accept them just because they could be on when a lot of staff usually have time to be on??

It's very difficult to define a typical American, as there is no such thing. But, in my opinion this is what Americans are like: Most Americans like to have fun and joke around with each other (e.g) to lighten up the mood. But, when it goes too far and they are told to stop, they get offended which sometimes lead to arguments. Besides that, I think most (younger) Americans are impatient and gets frustrated easily if they are told to wait (e.g) for an answer, but it's generally easy to adjust to the American people because (depending on age) they are usually pretty calm and down-to-earth and easy to talk to.

I understand why helper apps are closed for the time been so they can focus on the batch they have now and hopefully with this attention to the new comers will result with greater staff members. I also do see your point of view Sickly because when we play there are usually 0 staff members online.

I See that I have been a little topic in here so I would like to just state I was great in game with helping, connecting with players and also having a laugh. But when it came to forums not so much I made a hand full of comments that never needed to be said, I have never taken into account how you all perceive me I just do me and whether you all liked me or not that's how it would turn out (which for the foremost was/is positive which is great). So with a hand full of comments I made it would have not just make an impact on myself but the team as well. The way I seen it though the demotion was a good thing, sometimes you need to take a step back to continue forward. As well as having a low modreq count I did complete them when they were there but due to timezones there was not that many, I always continued to help when people would message me and when other staff members needed help with modreqs I would get online to help whether others are there to help or not. I see it nothing more than professional, I was a bitter at first because I really enjoyed it but it was the right thing to do to clearly state to me that stupid comments like that will not be tolerated.

With all this being said have a look on forums, see me in game and join in on team speak to see what I am like all round.

A month has gone by in which I do believe I am ready to be staff again, that will all come down to you the people and the team.
All we can do is continue to help each other and wait until it opens again.

Hey there. I noticed you said this:
While this is untrue, you may have noticed that we closed applications to make the team we have now as great as it can be before accepting new helpers. We are working hard to push through new changes and introduce our new helpers to this as well, but in my opinion, this eula situation may be some of the best experience these staff members can receive. Working with irritated players professionally and kindly is an outstanding lesson moving forward in the team, and I don't think we will have any trouble in the future. The applications closing is not a problem players should be concerned about because it is purely for staff.

Being user friendly and justifying your actions to people who aren't part of that circle are two different things. The reason staff can afford to take this position is because they do all the work, you don't.
