There is this special term called a “Presidential Veto”. You learned that in 7th grade :)

You'd also learn that when a supermajority passes a bill it's veto proof.

In this case the Sanctions bill was passed 98 yea 2 nay.

You would also know that after a Presidential veto, if both the house & senate get a 2/3 vote the sanctions would automatically be implemented.

House overwhelmingly passes Russia sanctions bill - CNNPolitics
(first paragraph has the vote tallies)
They passed the bill with so many votes (419-3 & 98-2, significantly more than 2/3 of both houses) that if ding dong trumpet vetoed it they could override it.

Even if we ignore this fact, (f-a-c-t) trump himself approved the bill, meaning he has to carry it out. To be clear, trump DID NOT VETO the bill, THE BILL IS NOW THE LAW, HE MUST ENFORCE THE LAW.

This is incorrect. A law being passed is not the same as implementation of the law. This is why the executive branch is named so, it's responsibilities include executing the laws passed by the legislature.

That memo was pretty good. Explained the Steele dossier wasn't the beginning of the investigation, and many of the GOP talking points against the investigation are plain false.

What does his tax returns have to do with anything? This is so old, stupid!

Please provide examples... also, it let out some good information that is negative towards certain Dems.

It was a GOP talking point that the Steele dossier being relied on as the reason why Carter Page was spied on with approval of a FISA warrant. It turns out Carter Page was being looked at for years prior to the Steele dossier even existing.

Former Trump Aide Carter Page Was on U.S. Counterintelligence Radar Before Russia Dossier

Another claim is the bias of the FBI agents, namely from some text messages between two people. The GOP talking heads have seemingly focused on one agent to show as a case, Peter Strzok. However it's left out that Peter Strzok was involved in the drafting of the infamous Clinton letter put out a week before the election, arguably putting the last nail in that coffin.

Additionally, it just recently came out that the FBI had a dossier for years prior to the Steele dossier. What the Steele dossier did, essentially, is corroborate information for the dossier the FBI had.

I'm not going to do a lot of this leg work for you. Read the memo and then begin googling the claims and look at the actual facts. Trump & Nunes just pissed off the LE and intel communities for not much of a pay-off, even Kelly thought this memo would be a dud.

Can you also answer this question for me?

I have answered your question multiple times, it’s a good strategy you’re using though. The one where you keep asking the exact same question over and over and over again until you get the (fake) Answer you’re hoping for. Not gonna work on me.

You haven't answered the question once. You falsely claimed he veto'd it (he didn't). You also said that when passed it's automatically implemented (it's not). The President is responsible for carrying out lawfully passed legislation, the deadline for implementation has came and went on sanctions.

    Answer the question.

I never said that President Donald J. Trump vetoed anything. All I said was there is a thing called “Presidential veto”.

Also, if the President vetos something and the house & Senate come to a 2/3 majority vote on the instance, it does, in fact, get implemented/put into place.

U.S. Senate: Glossary Term | Override of a Veto

    ——————————————————————————

“From that perspective, if the law is working, sanctions on specific entities or individuals will not need to be imposed because the legislation is, in fact, serving as a deterrent,” she said in a statement.

The bill allowed sanctions to be delayed or waived, but any inaction would have to come with evidence to Congress that Russia was making progress in cutting back on cyber meddling.

This is my answer, if you’re too stupid to understand it, that’s your problem.

@Blue_Marlin What is he attempting to do? I looked up "repeating a question" and I got "It's a symptom of dementia"

I don't think that is true?

He’s doing what all these Liberals do when they take a poll. They continue asking the same question until they get the answer they want.

You're factually incorrect in the premise that when a law passes it's automatically and magically implemented, it's not. The Executive Branch is the part of government responsible for implementation of passed laws.

Additionally you've quoted a state department's spokeswoman on behalf of the Donald Trump administration. This does not legally or materially alter the issue one bit. Her making a statement has no relevancy to the constitutionality. Constitutionally, Presidents are obligated to implement and executive laws that are passed.

Sanctions may be delayed or waived but it would require him to present proposed actions for congressional review, which he has not done. Sanctions may be waived for the cyber and Ukraine related sanctions but the bill has a much wider net than those two areas, such as:

    Crude oil projects
    Financial institutions
    Corruption
    Human Rights Abuses
    Evasion of Sanctions
    etc

We can't be certain that there's definitively no proof of Trump's collusion with Russia. Much of this information is classified because it's probably being used for the pending investigation.

And before you say something like "innocent before proven guilty," I'm not calling for any legal action to occur before due process has been completed. But still, the evidence that exists, at least the evidence that's been released to the media so far, doesn't paint such a good picture of Trump.

@Deinen - I never said that when a bill becomes a law it’s automatically implemented. What I actually said, that is actually correct, is that when a bill becomes a law, the bill goes to the Presidents desk. He has 5-10 days to sign the bill & turn it into a law, veto it or just leave it alone. If he signs it, it’s becomes a law. If he vetos it, it gets redone & then sent back to the Presidents desk for a 2nd go at turning it into a law. If he leaves it alone, after the 5-10 days, if congress gets a 2/3 majority vote then the bill, indeed becomes a law & is implemented.

Now you bring up an interesting point, the President can implement and execute laws. If the “Russia sanctions bill is a law” then couldn’t the President.... idk..... execute it?

I’m not going to give you a lesson on how things work, & I’m not going to allow you to misquote me either.

@MeepLord27 - Fire Rosenstein. Keep Mueller, for now.

Well. They, meaning congress, gave Trumps Treasurey department 180 days to report back to them on implementing sanctions on Russia. To my calculations, that was back in August, it’s not been 180 days... so I’m still confused as to why you’re bringing up that it’s unconstitutional.
