How do you think Trump will handle the hurricane season? (Harvey, Irma, Jose, and Katia)

To me, it seems as if there will be a lack of supplies and organization in emergency shelters. Take Hurricane Katrina in 2005 for example. Many people in New Orleans went to the Louisiana Superdome (now the Mercedes-Benz Superdome) because the city was using it as an emergency shelter at the time. For the people who went there, the Louisiana National Guard only delivered three truckloads of water and seven truckloads of MREs (Meals Ready-to-Eat). However, there was no water purification equipment at the Superdome, no toilets, or antibiotics and diarrheal kits.

The same thing could happen at shelters during Trump's administration.

how can Africa "shoot" hurricanes at us if hurricanes are natural disasters?

what I'm saying is what do you guys think about Trump's reaction/policy to all these hurricanes so far?

 

It's really not relevant in these cases since he has almost no direct involvement. The bureaucracy is well established in terms of FEMA and other disaster relief agencies/programs that run rather autonomously.

Funding will come down to the legislature mostly, they could have a massive affect on the rebuilding of the hit areas more than anything else.

I'd assume. Additionally Michigan's republicans tend to be more moderate and all its urban areas are heavily democratic.

The Trump brand isn't carrying as much water here as in other areas.
