Well that's illegal, private citizens cannot engage with a foreign government in any official way.

As for collusion:

People of Trumps campaign intentionally met with a foreign power to gain an edge over a political opponent. I'm pretty sure that's the literal definition of collusion?

 

No it's not illegal. Show me where it says it's illegal. Have you not seen the news? I even think fake CNN said it wasn't illegal.

I mean, the emails Trump jr released literally said they took the meeting based on the info the Russians had on Clinton, it LITERALLY says this in his emails.

Again, posting a link to the law he "broke" isn't proof that he actually broke that law. Any article you pull up either
A.) says he "may have broke this law"
Or
B.) what he did is perfectly legal.

There is no proof or evidence that he broke the law. There is no proof that Donald Trump and his campaign people colluded with the Russians and there are no treasonous ties to Russia. Really there aren't any ties to Russia but that's an argument no one will believe that is against Trump until a major person from the left says "Trump doesn't have ties to Russia".

 

It doesn't matter that he got nothing, the issue is that he went under the impression he was going to get something. It's like me attempting to shoot you but because I had no bullets it's not a crime.

The emails Donald Jr. released is literal evidence. Literally.

Nobody believes it because it's simply untrue. Almost his entire main campaign past/current have ties to Russia that they then have lied about, some under oath. Literally.

His emails are not proof. Again, it might would be a concern of mine if Donald Trump jr were running for President. Then I might would say, "okay we need to investigate this and see what's going on". also, his emails show no proof of collusion in order to win an election.

It doesn't concern you that it was Kushner, Trumps son-in-law working in the white house with security clearance, Paul Manafort, former campaign manager (the guy that ran the entire campaign), and Trump Jr?

Doesn't concern you he said great and would send the information to Trump?

Doesn't concern you Trump knew of this meeting and endorsed it?

Maybe not by itself, but when you add it in with every other piece of information - It's pretty incriminating.

He's the president of the united states, he's about as public of a figure as you can be.

The transgender ban thing is total madness, the US army spends more money on viagra pills for the vets than it does on trans surgery, and donald trump spends WAY more on his vacations than the US army pays for trans surgery.

A comment I found that does a great job summing up what happened:

"Was pretty amazing to see honestly. Senate votes are virtually always known before hand, let alone on one as major and contested as this one.

McCain was the one that was the most in question. The democratic senators literally erupted in cheers when he walked in the senate floor and gave a thumbs down. He really deserves respect for this one. Especially seeing as he won't get a lot of it from the right.

Having the former GOP leader flipping to vote against his party for the other side is an amazing moment in itself. Having the man that did it being the War-Hero Maverick who just got diagnosed with brain cancer and flew in a week after brain surgery to cast the deciding vote makes this one for the history books."

 

But at the same time, you're can't join the military if you have ADHD, and you're not supposed to wear contacts on the front lines, due to the difficulty in getting medication/sanitary cleaning supplies on the front lines. The same applies to transgender people--how are we reliably supposed to get medicine to the front lines?

The military is supposed to be a fighting force, not some bastion of diversity. I'm all for diversity, but when everyone is relying on everyone else not to get killed, diversity can't be priority #1.

Also isn't it a little bit ironic that the Democrats heavily used closed-door negotiations to pass the ACA in the first place, but now are blasting Republicans for doing the same thing in the repeal?

If you ask me, it's a scummy tactic all around, and nobody should use closed-door negotiations. But don't you think it's just a little bit hypocritical that Democrats used it to pass their healthcare bill, and then get mad at Republicans when they do the same?
