Pay for custom titles

I am with you on this one.


I mean yeah... arguments like "Too confusing for new people". Come on, the separated eco is already confusing, towny commands are confusing, stuff is confusing for kids.

"It will become a normal thing to have custom ranks". Whatever really. You paid for it, enjoy your custom title.

You could have 2 types of custom titles. One given out as an honor with one color and the other one bought - with a different color. Done.

If you put a hefty price tag on custom titles, we'll all be just fine. I would consider buying a title.
Suggestion: if custom titles become a thing, it would be nice to have a 'custom rank': X and 'donator rank': Y in /seen.

Also, for those wondering, I was thinking of charging ~$1-5 for a 2-day custom title (or one day). Thoughts?

As to [PvP Master], @legendcaleb and I both swim on the prefix as a gift and/or joke that @Fuzzlr decided to do. See, the day Caleb received the rank, he thought fuzzlr was making fun of him because that damn skrub would argue over /g about PvP and how it can be fixed, etc.How the skid thought he was being bashed by fuzzlr at first, we were on /msg about how much of a loser he's being seen as as fuzzlr roasted the living killaura off him. In the middle of all the jokes, fuzzlr asked the skrub to talk in /g, which he did and noticed the cute little prefix [PvP Master]. Then positive vibes came. Everything was great and stuff positive jokes about PvP Master passed for a couple of minutes. Caleb logged off, I presume happy af since he's possibly the type of kid to get excited of rare upgrades in games.

Couple days later I too wanted a prefix. I asked and received.

Also if cleaved gets a tag because he asked, why can't people who PAY to support the server get one for a couple days/hours?

 

We don't need an excuse for offering more options for EULA-friendly perks

We make so much less from ranks now, and this would give meep a massive boost in funds (Still a +1)

 

I have an idea. For custom titles, you can change it every 30 days like you would with usernames. If it's inappropriate, staff can reset it back to the name of the rank you currently have.

Just an idea I had in my mind today.

 

My original intention was for titles to either

A) only last a day or two and be cheap

B) or be paid for by subscription payments

Then keep would have a RECURRING source of income

:| I suggested this privately to Fuzzlr months ago. I won't say what was said by him because long ago staff said to me that it wasn't very "polite" to quote Fuzzlr from a private skype conversation. Anyways what I said was very detailed, very planned out. It will keep people buying, and keep already donators happy (legendary, and supreme. Not just them but lower ranks. Just mentioning legend because well :|). If he wants to comment or a staff on whether he said this was accepted/denied is completely up to him.

EDIT: Fuzzlr got back from a trip some time ago and I revisited meep site to message an old friend and I decided I'd contact Fuzzlr again and resend him the idea. He had the same standpoint on it. I HAD NOT seen this thread before I had done so, I saw it for the first time minutes ago.

 

Klutch also had an idea about this, but the way to get a custom title is to get a "custom title note" from voting.

ooh... maybe these could be ultra-rare, like fly notes, but you can alsoo buy them for IRL money?
