Introduction: Hello my name is Paincakexx1997 or like my friends here on meep call me Pain, I am a 17 year old Norwegian male that is going to college/university Atm. My really name is øyvind, try to pronounce that my English friends and I love the concept that meepcraft is becoming. A lot of you old staff/old community members know me but for you new staff/community members, I am someone that is dependable in situations where others would back down. I am also a person that think that nothing can be perfect and that there are always ways to improve the server or the community. And I am a big believer in that you as a person take your own choices, but when you do so you also have to take the consequences of those choices.


So let's go back to my beginning. In 2012 I joined a factions server that no longer exists, the owner of that server was CrueltyGaming. But at the time his wife was running the server and she was a wonderful owner. I was enjoying the server at the time but after 2 months I wanted more then just being a player, so I applied for staff and I got a interview and I got sub-mod as it was named. I worked hard as a staff member and in late 2012 I got upgraded to a admin. And in 2013 I got transferred to meepnetworks to be a admin for the current factions part of the server. It all went well for a wile and I felt like the server was developing nicely. Then the meep revolution came, it took me by surprise and I stood outside staff for a wile. I tried to get back in to it but I had way to many expectations of what I would meet when I joined again. So it ended up with me quitting staff after 5 days.


Now I feel like I want to be staff again and this time I am ready with new enthusiasm and I do not have the same expectations.


Why you should be Helper/Mod ?


Experience

As I said in my introduction, I have around 1-2 years of experience as a staff member so I know how to deal with people in certain situations. I am also mayor of one town and co-mayor of another so I know a lot of the commands for the towns. When push came to show at the factions part of the server, I also had to do a lot of the tech stuff on the server. When it came to setting up the permissions for the different areas and putting up the different kits. Also towards the end i had to do a lot of changes in how the eco part of the factions system worked. Also since I have most of my experience from being staff on a factions server where people are Extremely toxic. I have feel like I have learned to deal with people in a way where I would be able to calm down a person so it wouldn't lead to a ban. Factions in general took a lot more then what a normal mod is required to do on meep. Because the players always lie and there is always infighting also the staff that took part became lonely wolfs in a way where the community would shot you out of the fun of playing on factions. they would target you and try to hunt you down.


Work Ethic

When I am working I go in to a state where I concentrate so hard on what I am doing that I can't hear what people are saying on ts. I put 100% in to what I do, and I always like to finish a job in a good and respective way for the players. Even if I get disrespected by others that wouldn't effect my view on the case or the person. When I am working I always look at the cases in a objective way and I do not judge people without proof.


Dedication

As I did when I first became staff, I pretty much gave up on playing the game and playing the game for me became moderating and doing work on the server. I felt like doing the work for the server became a part of me and I would be willing to do that again. It kinda also became my hobby, it had a impact on my life back then and I will do so it does now to.


Justification

I think I am ready to rejoin the staff again. The reason behind that statement is that since the last time I was staff I have been true a lot of change and I want to take part in the changes that I see is coming to the server. I think I have a lot to offer to the community and the server in general sins I have so much experience. And I am also ready to give up my time in game to the staff work. I also know most of the rules on the server and if I am ever unsure I will ask another staff or read the rules over.



Weaknesses:


Spelling: Since I am from Norway, English is my second/third language so it is kinda hard for me to spell every word correctly. But even so I try as hard as I can to improve and also I use spellchecker when I make threads at the forums. Even though I have some mistakes when I am spelling I feel like I am getting my point across.


Childish on TS: I can sound kinda childish when I am speaking at teamspeak, but when it comes to work I will always act mature. Being childish on teamspeak is just a part of who I am but I am never trying to offend anyone and I always try to help if someone need it on ts.


Lack of experience regarding some of the commands for helper: I think I have a lack of experience when it comes to some commands so I will need training if I get accepted. And I am prepared for that.



Conclusion:

I believe I have what it will take to become a staff member again. I think meep has a strong growing potential and I would love to take a part of that. I feel like the people that know me knows what I am capable of and for the people that doesn't know me, I feel like I have gotten to show you a little peace of who I am and what I can do for this server and the community.
