We don't have an ETA yet AFAIK they still have to do general work on the spawn, like re-adding quest NPCs and fixing the Forest, and they also have to fix minigames like KitPvP and whatnot. I assume once Spawn/Kit/Games are all back in action then they will begin development on a new custom and engaging towny mode. I'm not an official source but I estimate 2 weeks minimum. The only real delay is the amount of tech power available, if we had DBLO I'd be a lot more optimistic of reaching that 2 week minimum lol.

 

Can't they just relaunch spawn with hubs to said locations but have those hubs down while working on them but have towny (blank world really) open and wild so people could gather resource? I mean I would think getting towns and wild up are a priority then adding the mini games etc.

 

That's a good question, and again I'm not an official source I just go off what I'm told. I assume the games are an easier fix, something that can be done in 1-2 weeks. Whereas making a totally custom and actually unique towny world will take the majority of time. It would make sense to get the easy stuff out of the way and to then focus on a great towny gamemode. But what you said also makes sense. I'm not sure if they want to be 100% done when they relaunch or if they're willing to relaunch with gamemodes missing :/

 

I get what you're saying but Meep has had unfinished/worlds down for maintenance for a long time over its tenure. I don't expect them to magically be able to launch all modes at one time. And mini games may be easier to launch but the server is primarily a towny server and that should be launched first. You can't launch a towny server with mini games with a towny world under maintenance.

 

I agree. Hopefully we will have a Town Hall Meeting coming up soon where we can ask some questons and get some insight

You should go make a suggestion instead of littering this thread with them.

 

Purely a waste of resources, it was attempted before and added nothing that the wild already can't, plus it had perhaps 5 players on during the better days.

 

I'd much rather see Ctf or Dunegon (a revamped, nerfed version) make a comeback instead.

 

CTF was pretty fun but yeah... we should focus on getting Towny up and a decent player base then branch out to other mini games.

 

Towny first, everything else afterwards.
