Hello everyone,
My name is superbros1211 but most of you probably know me as Super.
I join MeepCraft about two years ago after hearing my brother and his friends talk about it. I was intrigued by why you would call a server MeatCraft so I decided to check it out. After working out the server IP I quickly discovered that it was not called MeatCraff. I fell in love with the community and quickly settled in and started running a town with Funky.
Now let's talk a bit about my personal life. I have recently finished my first year of high school after taking my exams! Anyway, when I am not Meeping, I enjoy spending my time on outdoors, especially Geocaching. Another sport which I really enjoy is Pedal Prix which involves racing recumbent bikes around a track. However, this year’s season is over and the track used for training is now being set up for our yearly Clipsal 500 race. I also really enjoy cross country, this year was my first year doing it and I will definitely keep running for a long time . A new hobby of mine is aerial photography and I have recently purchased a DJI Phantom to assist me with this. Anyway, now it's time to discuss why I should become a Mod.
Why you should be Mod?
I believe there are many reasons why I should become a mod. So let's start with experience.
Experience.
Well I have been Helper for just over six months now and I think I have tackled everything which a Helper should. I can use HawkEye pretty well which is one of the hardest things to learn when you become a Helper. I have dealt with many reports, difficult situations and similar events during my time as a Helper. I also believe I have the knowledge required to teach and train new recruits to the staff team. Something which every mod should be confident enough to do.
Work ethic.
Again I am going to use a quote by the late Steve Jobs. The reason why I keep using this quote is because it really reflects my attitude towards almost everything. "When you’re a carpenter making a beautiful chest of drawers, you’re not going to use a piece of plywood on the back, even though it faces the wall and nobody will see it. You’ll know it’s there, so you’re going to use a beautiful piece of wood on the back. For you to sleep well at night, the aesthetic, the quality, has to be carried all the way through." Whether it's just asking how the player is feeling today in a modreq or attempting to help 3 separate people at one via /msg (trust me this is hard!) I always, always try to do my very best to help the player reach their goal.
Involvement.
All you need to do is look at the ‘new posts’ section of the forums and you will see that I am a proud forum ‘stalker’. I also really like to get involved with community events and have fun with other players. I spend a lot of my time when I am not doing staff stuff in KitPvP, talking to other players and now playing and getting to know the lesser known Halo players. I feel like getting to know this ‘separated’ side of the community is a very important thing and if possible I try to introduce them to the Towny system and also the rest of the ‘non-halo’ community.
Weaknesses.
Well since I wrote my last application I have really been looking for an x-ray case which I can claim. Unfortunately all my finds have been to old and lack the all important logs which I need to go further into the case. My lack of experience with this type of offence isn’t too bad however it would mean that I might not be able to teach someone how do do an x-ray case as well as other staff members.
I guess I can be a little bit impulsive (thanks Sjoe). By this I mean saying things sometimes before I think about what it can mean to some people. This is something which I am working on and shouldn’t be too hard to fix.
My last weakness which I discovered came from a response to an opinion thread. Like the person said, I can be very positive at times and assume that the best will always happen. This positivity isn't always a negative trait however if used to often can be.
Thank you for reading my application, I hope I have made you feel and believe that I am ready for the promotion. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions.
Have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year!
