Hey everyone! Around this time in 2013, the MeepOlympics were held, and it was a very fun experience for a lot of people to participate in and watch. I really enjoyed coordinating the whole thing along with the help of a lot of staff members and other players of that time. For those of you who were not around during that time, the MeepOlympics was a PvP tournament (A lot of other game ideas were included but never got to be properly planned/ executed) that consisted of 48 participants at that time. Below is a post I made in 2013 that outlined how the tournament would work. Right now I'm focusing on just the PvP tournament and once it is over we can move on to other games (Post any ideas of games you'd like to see!) Thanks Klitch for getting this out of the archives :) It's pretty interesting to see all other old names on here, too bad a lot of them aren't playing anymore :(

But there are a handful of names on there that are still playing, and it would be awesome to see them come out again!

"Well today I am announcing that the Summer MeepPvP Olympics will happen. They will be hosted in my town, Dubyah. The arena is under construction. I want to diversify the battlegrounds, so I will be looking around to see if any other arenas are cool and can be played in. So here is how it is going to work. There will be 48 contenders, first come first serve. The entree fee will be 40k, but in order to add more of an Olympics aspect to it, each town will make a team of 4, but these 4 people will not necessarily be playing with each other. Each match will have 3 people, 1v1v1 in the first round, and we will make the match ups from there. The bracket will be made as people join. If more than 12 towns attend, then I will make another bracket and the winner of that one will face the winner of the original. I will post updates of the arena as it is built
DO NOT /pay me once you enlist your team, I will collect them orderly at a different time. If not enough people attend, then I will edit the brackets. Remember, first come first serve, to enter, use the following format:

    -Town name:
    -Team participants:
    1.
    2.
    3.
    4.

Right now it is only a PvP tournament, since the summer is almost over so I need to get this up and ready fast.

    Good luck everyone,
    IFOC, RYANISNMANAME, I_Hear_A_Squach

The number next to the town name indicates its seed number.

I put the poll at the top to get an idea of how many people would be participating. Also, the reason for the 40k entrance fee (per team) was because the money was used to pay for supplies and rewards. the reward amounts will be based on the amount of people attending plus any possible donations. I will come out with a more detailed thread once this is viewed enough that will include the rules/sign up info. After that I will add everyone to a conversation on the forums and we will discuss convenient brackets to correspond with players' timezones. This was something we didn't account for last time, and that really prolonged the process because some people from Australia were matched up against someone from the USA and that required one of them to get on at 3am which is something we don't want to run into again!

Anyway, don't forget to vote on the poll, and also suggest any games you'd like to see.

One more thing! If your town or any other town has an arena that you like, inbox me on the forums and we can discuss! I am currently working on an arena that will be pretty similar to the last one (which was pretty awesome!)

    Also, last thing! (I promise)

This thread is not the sign up thread, so don't use the format from this post, we're not at that stage yet!

    Thanks!

    Here are some ideas:

Horse racing- A challenging and long course would be built for racers to ride and try to get to the finish line first.

Parkour- A parkour course would be made and whoever finishes it first would be crowned champion for that game. Some people think that having multiple people doing one parkour at the same time is distracting and annoying, so there would maybe be duplicates of the course. That way, everyone can have their own course.

Building- A set of players would need to build according to the theme, and the public or audience would vote (or judges) who would be knocked out. The amount of players will finally come down to one final champion. (The builds wouldn't need to be large or complex, but builds that can demonstrate or show the theme clearly). Judgement would depend on the theme, creativity, and how good it is.

    Archery?

That's basically the top three ideas that came to mind. It would be exciting to watch or participate in the olympics this time. Last time I watched it :p
