misunderstading, i thought you meant the people who appealed recently (which i would be a part of, if that were the case)

It's apparent you have not read the EULA - Because the EULA makes no mention of any of that.

(The EULA says you cannot make money without their permission)

the "let's talk server monetization" thing tells you that you can't sell a diamond sword for $5 or anything of the sort, it's not allowed. meepcraft was blacklisted because they give advantages to paying players

 

That is not a EULA - That is a website.

On another note, I feel sad for the person (people) that felt the need to report the server until this point. In my time here I've met many people and I've met some with some of the most disruptive home life I've ever encountered. MeepCraft was their community, a place they can find shelter and reprieve of the stress of their world. Beyond the nit-picking, what this has ultimately accomplished - is left a lot of young kids without a place to go to find a community, a solace, a retreat.

Those are the ones who will suffer the most in the end, not a digital server.

The following rank perks are not compliant with the EULA, and they will be given to all players:

• Mine Spawners
• View spawner info
• Own 6 Creative Plots
• Use WorldEdit in Creative
• /speed in Creative
• Clear plots in Creative
• Download plot in Creative
• /tpahere

These were the only ones mojang caught and asked to remove. They gave us the go ahead after that despite leaving out some obvious perks. I think that both sides made errors but right now im counting on fuzzlr and the staff to get through this!

 

EULA or not, it's not allowed, i don't understand why it's so important to you to make that clear when it doesn't matter at all - mojang told us NOT to have advantages for money - we ignored them, and so the server is blacklisted now

 

Because one is a binding agreement on use of their product - The other is a random website. You do not agree to the random website, that is not a binding agreement. You have no idea what Mojang said to Fuzzlr and it appears none of you actually know what the EULA is, or it's purpose.

No where in the EULA (End User License Agreement) does it state what perks a server can, or cannot have.

 

I think that deinens point is that even though we are in the wrong, we shouldn't be have to do it happily. I was thinking about reporting meep on a particularly bad day but I thought why would I take away from something so great. The eula has slowed the production of amazing projects, and people. Meepcraft is barely making it in terms of money as it is. It's not right when we put so much in for big old Microsoft to take it away. There's nothing we can do about it but we fight in our own ways.

 

mojang asked fuzzlr to remove the perks - we know that happened about 5 months ago. fuzzlr removed fly, spawner and most of the major perks. there are still some left - it seriously doesn't matter if it's the EULA or not, because it's almost 100% the reason that the server is blacklisted now!

 

Oh, you've seen the direct communication between them? Otherwise quite simply nobody knows what was said, and you know what they say about assumptions.

 

why were the perks removed then? why did so many big servers remove their advantages from their ranks?

Notes about the EULA changes

 

Because Mojang sent almost all servers notices and clear them individually. We have literally no real idea what the conditions of this server are. We can speculate all we want, but we simply don't know. The statement "these perks are against EULA" is inherently false on all levels, because we have no knowledge of the agreement between Mojang, and this server.

This is because EULA makes no statement on what "perks" are valid or invalid and the requirement is their permission to make commercial use - Something we do not know the details of.
