Meep isn't dying ok. We have a new spawn with a bunch of cool stuff, skywars, so many projects on trello. We have a cool media team who are picking up the pace on creating videos and our lovely architect team who made a new spawn. Meep may come to an end one day, I mean, it can't be here for 100 years because Minecraft will probably die out then.

So to everyone who keeps saying Meep is dying, thanks for sharing your input. You make great suggestions on how it can be fixed. But we could do with some positive vibes.

I enjoy how you say "enjoi." It's really great.

The team is trying to do what they can, and they can't spread themselves so thin that nothing gets done. Hopefully with everything coming out this will kind of be a reset for everyone here without being a reset. (If that makes sense?)

We can't ignore the fact that there is a dwindling community and once someone says something negative and another person backs it up, it just never seems to stop. We shouldn't be saying "Meep isn't dying" because that is trying to ignore it, but we should be trying to stay positive for whatever the future holds. I just hope that Meep goes back to feeling like Meep, because it was once an enjoyable place to be with things to do and just happy things to talk about with a lot of goofing around and having fun.

 

While we acknowledge your concerns (as well as how difficult it is to stay positive), we're doing all that we can to revitalize the server. Sure, it's been in better places--that much I won't argue. However, much of the dev work has been postponed until the upcoming 1.10 update, which is happening right here, right now. Additionally, with the addition of a new spawn and some upcoming changes to towny, we're working hard to improve the gameplay experience, which in turn will improve the community. Times like this are when we need unity--we can't afford to keep bickering over petty issues, just as we can't keep trolls around to stir up nonissues (cough, cough, w111am).

We're really sorry it's been so hard the last few months and sincerely thank those of you who stuck around for sticking through it. It'll get better from here, we promise.

Nobody likes you, you suck, go away. I don't know how many times we have to tell you this for you to finally rid this server of your stupidity and toxicity. Nobody cares what you think, and trust me, you are not cool for being able to spread hate (no matter how little skill that actually requires) on a minecraft server.

OT: the server's really been at this for a while, and the reason the community gets upset is because Trello projects will stay there for months and not be completed. The new spawn is perhaps a step in the right direction.

 

I just want to point out 1 thing. Boobear wasnt categorized as a "Toxic player". Thats just drama from a kid who cant keep his mouth shut and likes to stir drama because he has the mental capacity of a corkboard.(not you bob)

The conversation was about people being negative and critical of a situation that was meant to be positive. The spawn is the start of a revamp. It was instantly bashed and made to seem like a bad thing even though it was a positive start. I classified her as one of those people posting negative comments so before you run around spreading more drama (even though thats all youve ever done), check your facts from a source.

Spawn will be pretty easy to navigate imo. Its a million times better than this one. Ive never been a fan, but this one is fun end Im so happy I got to see the creation process a little bit.

Thank you for this, honestly. Meep isn't dying and its not going down nearly as much as some of the players are making it out to be -and I really think with the new updates, and we got some pretty cool surprises, there will be even more interest and therefore more players

As for the actual topic of the thread, I think it's true that the server has been dying. The player count has been dwindling away to very low numbers and anybody can tell where a steady decline is going to lead if it's not prevented. Something important to realize, however, is that dying does not equal dead. The server might've been dying and it might still be dying, but that doesn't mean that it cannot be saved. Having a new spawn and new updates is an excellent way to help get the server back into a better position, and it seems like the staff members are currently doing a great job of this.

 

There's a plugin to revert to 1.8 PvP, that I really hope is added.

Well when you put a lot of work into a server both as staff and as a player just for it to be thrown I your face and then critizized for your concerns, you can't blame a person for being negative.

 

instead of complaining they should be flooding meep with ideas on how to improve...meep isnt dying, people are just becoming impatient...do we really want negative people representing meep anyway? i dont mean to sound rude or harsh but, maybe it is a good thing loads have left.... they were only being negative to the positive regular players on meep.... fresh start for meep we will become awesome in time .... lets all just stay positive and help out as much as possible in the server to help everyone

I'm glad, but the bad part is how long it took for this to occur; I believe we had all these on our checklist for months, as I said

nevertheless I will probably begin playing IG again so I hope the server doesn't die, and it still has room to grow. People here have many good ideas and I think I'm underestimating them a little, I'm merely stating that the precedent set by how long it took for this to happen is a bit ugly. Obviously I hope it changes and I want to be proven wrong here. I won't hate on the server nor its current state anymore for that is simply out of my control and I can only provide encouragement, negativity doesn't lead anywhere I suppose

 

I love the server, I really do. But it's dying, no matter what. The projects on trello have been there forever, stuff barely ever gets done, and the community is in an awful state right now. You can accuse me of being negative, but all I'm doing is listing facts. You can say "why don't you help then" and the simple reason is that I'm not respected as a community member in the slightest and therefore I don't feel I'm inclined to be positive. You can say if you're not gonna be positive or you don't care than just leave, but I spent the better part of two years of two years on this server and to see it in such a bad state as it is in now, it hurts me, it really does. To see highly respectable members in the community such as @BooBear1227 being classified as a toxic player, it just shows how bad the server is. I'm sorry for admitting the truth, but until we admit the server is dying and we need to fix it, nothing's going to go in the right direction.

Yeah, because the community is 100% all of the negative people here.

Heres another tidbit - you want to help out with meep? All it takes is positivity. Try to redirect any negativity and turn it into a happy conversation! You can also message random new players, give them a couple starter items, a stack of food, some tips add them to your town. If we welcome people with open arms then slowly but surely the count can rise.
