Today is May 4th. This means it is the internationally recognized Star Wars day. Naturally, this is my favorite holiday of the year. Last year I shared a video of the six main movies in seven minutes.
Want to be the absolute master at all of Star Wars? Well, there's now two separate timelines. One (called the Canon) is the six main movies and The Clone Wars TV series released before Disney bought Lucasfilm. Everything else in the canon timeline has been released under Disney. Here is a complete timeline of the canon as of today:
Alternatively, there is the Legends timeline, which includes infamous stories such as the Thrawn Trilogy, the Old Republic series, Darth Bane Trilogy, etc. The Legends timeline extends much farther beyond what we call the Canon. The canon timeline covers a period of about eleven thousand years. Legends covers . . . over thirteen billion.
