Personally I've noticed that the people who actually help the most usually are helping people 1 on 1 rather than globally shouting "msg me if you need help"

Just a bit of advice, if you don't know you don't need to +1 just because other people are. That might be saying something about me if you don't know me. Just throwing that out there that +1 shouldn't come from seeing everyone else +1. I do appreciate it though

Les, I've never gotten to know you as a person, but over the past two weeks or so I have seen youf decdication to the server shine through your actions. I would definitely be interested in seeing how you would do as staff again.

I just have a few questions, and was wondering if you could address them before I wholeheartedly hope you get an interview?

They are all centered around your past as a staff member. I can't seem to recall a few things, namely whether or not you were demoted or you resigned, and what caused your demotion/resignation. It'd be great if you could put these worries to rest.

 

Well I would be happy to address these concerns as they are very valid. This is a subject which I feel comfortable openly talking about.
I'll give a quick summary of my previous time as staff because a lot led up to my leaving the staff team. Basically I did my app, had that get accepted and did well in my interview and got accepted as helper. Now this was not my first time as staff I had had my own semi successful server for almost 9 months at that point (which I had put on hiatus during my time as helper), so the first couple weeks went as expected, I made a few rookie mistakes here and there but in general no major screw ups and around an average modreq count. Then after that I had some real life issues which took me away from meepcraft so my modreq count lagged back a little for awhile. About 6 weeks in I then had the incident where I used an autotyper 100% unaware that it was illegal, I had seen hornemans use it and had informed other staff members I was using it, then one night I left it on and awoke to a kick message and a furiously scathing demotion request from snorehax backed by a lot of the community saying I should be banned for hacking and using a client outside of minecraft. So Onis came up with the solution that it "doesn't affect his ability to do his job" and so he simply banned me for 1 day for "Spam". Rather than realizing that he had saved me from an embarrassing demotion, I absolutely raged at him in skype talking about how it was unprofessional and how does it look when he bans someone but leaves them a staff member. But eventually I calmed down and continued to do my job after that, however real life was still a problem for me and my modreq count was not as high as it should have been. I will say however that I did a lot more outside of modreqs and did a lot of things like terrarium patrol etc. But anyways, at about week 8 one issue I had was modreq count so mods+ were always urging me to do more modreqs. Finally one day I had gotten on, been on for 20 minutes and had done about 13 modreqs which had piled up before I had gotten on (there was at least 8 other staff members on at the time), then finally went to go do something for my skyblock and then 2 more modreqs came up and deinen told me to get working on modreqs and made a some joking comment about me slacking off (which he obviously meant to be humorous) and I just snapped and asked why I was always getting bugged to do modreqs when I was not the only one who would slack off. Now again deinen being the good staff member he is just let me vent until I was done and then moved on. So here is where we get to the end. I had a series of tests in school coupled with other activities that meant I wouldn't be able to be on Meep for a good couple weeks. So I notified my overseer (Sirrr_pig) telling him I'd be a little inactive for a couple weeks and he said that was fine. I then get back 2 weeks later and sirrr tells me that upper staff were discussing my demotion for inactivity and that i had been given "too many second chances". At that point I was really mad that I might actually get demoted even though I gave full notice of my absence. So I decided to resign.
Basically I figured that at that time I could not function on the staff team and therefore there was no reason for me to stay on.
I do also admit that this was a stressful time in my life due to some real life issues and so upon reflection I can see how rash some of the things I said were. I made a full apology to Onis stating how grateful I was for what he did and how sorry I was for being to blind and not realizing what he had done for me.

Sorry if this was more information than you were looking for, wanted to give the full background of events that led up to my resignation.

Hmm, I actually remember that. I'm ashamed to say I was one of the people calling for your demotion. Thanks for such a lengthy reply, I wasn't in staff at the time so I didn't know the full details.

I'm perfectly fine for you to have a chance at interview, as long as you have your anger under control.

 

I'm happy to say those stressful issues in my life sorted themselves out, hence a more positive happier more generous friendly me in the past 3 weeks

EDIT: and helper or no helper I feel like I am in a much better place to be helpful to the community than I was previously, I am now getting much more enjoyment doing things like drop parties and in general just helping others in any way I can. Aiding has surpassed money on my list of priorities.

 

i think you need a second chance, third chance, whatever the number is now i will give you a +1 for interview, and thanks for explaining your last reasons of leaving staff

I haven't seen you much but in game you are kind, helpful, and smart. These are all amazing qualities to have in staff. When you were helper last time I felt that people were too rough on you. Apart from me I think you were the most hated staff member
Your modreq count was low but if someone told you to do them you started right away. I think that since you know what to do and what not to do that this time it won't be an issue.
I really want to say go for it but there is a feeling in my head that says you will not be the right person for this.
I will ignore this feeling and +1 you
