Bernie is a meme candidate, I'll elaborate later because I enjoy a good argument especially when it's about politics.

Well are you in luck. Ben Carson endorsed Donald Trump.
And it seems to be Republicans who block the most bills that help veterans after they return home.

    "College for all"
I suggest you think about what this really means, you might as well use your college diploma to wipe yourself. And the numbers this guy is proposing are wrong, college for all 75 billion a year? Yeah good luck with that, as of 2015 there are 20 million college students in the US, and an average year costing around 9000$, if you do the math that's 180 billion $, excluding the money needed
new buildings that need to be built because campuses would be past capacity. And besides, if the country is paying for everyone's college tuition, what's stopping tuition prices to increase? Pro tip: Nothing.
Besides, he expects to get that money from a "wall street speculation tax", some people never learn.

    >6.2% income-based tax for Medicare paid for by employers paid for by employers
So if I'm understanding this correctly, he expects to raise the cost of employing a person by 6.2% but somehow expects the business to not lower it's pay? "But coolmaxx what about my 15$ minimum wage?"
Yeah maybe they wouldn't lower everyone's paycheck, they would have to fire you.
To sum up, Bernie supporters don't understand that the majority of employers in the US are not the mega corporations who could take such a huge hit in profits and stay afloat. But even if they can take the hit, they won't, they just lower the starting pay for new hires and freeze pay for current employees until they can recoup costs.

It's funny really, Sanders plan is actually going to hurt the middle class more than it's going to help it, because when you start taxing the rich for 77%, and the rich inevitably give you the finger and leave, the burden will fall on the middle class, and it will cause it to shrink even more.

    1) private colleges are NOT affected. This only applies to public colleges, so redo your math. Also, why would new buildings have to be built? These are colleges that are already existing. Where does it say colleges have to make room for more admitted students? You would have the same chance of getting into a college as you do now.

Public high schools used to charge for tuition. Now? People go to public high school for free. It is paid for by the government and YOU are given opportunities that you would have not had before. Times can change.

This is one part where I stray from Sanders's beliefs in that a $15 minimum wage is too much. I believe it should be raised, but it shouldn't be as high as $15. somewhere from 9 to 10$ is more reasonable for a minimum wage.

His tax plan doesn't tax the rich 77%. For starters, people making under $250k will not be changed in regards to taxes. People making $464k-500k will actually have a slightly reduced tax rate. 250k-464k is only increased by a small percentage. 500k-2 million is only increased by about 3%. 2 million to 10 million is increased by roughly 8%. 10 million and more is increased by roughly 12%.

Well, just saw on the news a large crowd of Chicagoan Democrats protesting outside of the Trump rally. When I think about it, have the Republicans protested any Democrat rallies this race?

Well, Trump is very polarizing. When you're coming to Chicago, a city with a significant Hispanic population, and you put Trump there, it was just bound to happen.

I don't see protesters doing this with Cruz, Rubio, or Kasich. Even many Republicans hate Trump. This isn't necessarily a trend you can equate Democrats to specifically, since you really only see this happening to Trump.

Hell, black-lives-matter protesters interrupted Bernie Sanders and took the mic from him at a rally. At this point, I hardly call it a partisan issue. It seems people are just really polarized in terms of racial tensions.

@Skaros123 Thanks for clearing that up! It was a legitimate question and I assumed it was partially just because of what some stuff Trump has said and Chicago's demographic make up but I wasn't sure.

All I have to say is that the presidential race is a complete disgrace....

People like Donald Trump and even modern media has turned it into a complete mockery. The one thing that should be serious is turned into an immature, disgraceful, slap fight. These "Presidential Candidates" should not even be considered.

If you entered into an argument like some of these candidates have with a classmate in school, or a teacher or law enforcement. What do you think would happen? And yet we want these people running our country?

I can just see Donald Trump at a State of the Union Address yelling "Get the hell out" to members of congress.

And people like Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio continuing with their rebuttals are no better.

Instead of spending valuable time bashing on one another about their personal life, they could be spending more time discussing issues and their plans.

Oh and, I see more about what Marco Rubio said about Donald Trump (or vise versa) in the news, than I see Donald Trump has plans to... or Ted Cruz wants to focus on...

    Its pathetic.

We are leaning way too far to the left. A perfect, successful government would be directly in the center of the two. Regardless of who gets the nominations, I will be voting republican.

As for all of the Bernie supporters, taxing the rich won't do anything. A healthy economy is one where wealth is circulated through products or services, not redistributed. If Bernie is elected the reason for the lack of products made will be because people who have attained the wealth have most likely done so through producing goods or services. If they lack their money, production rates will drop, setting the economy back. Without any production, there will still be a number of dollar bills made, but the value to back that of the currency will stay constant. This is called inflation.

Trump's "ideas" are nothing but a load of horses---.

Watch him in a debate, trust me you'll vote for anybody, and I mean anybody else. I'm left leaning and I really want Marco Rubio or John Kasich to win.
