Here is how Meepcraft's players are using the stock market to exploit millions of meebles.

I mean, this can't really be fixed. If there's 15 minute window what can we really do about it. The only thing we can do, is see who is actually doing this, and the staff can decide what to do with them after that.

Well where's the fun in that if you just disable it? And also, even if they disable it they could still do the same thing, it wouldn't work as well, but it would still work. So I say either take stocks away or keep it because the staff shouldn't waste their time on setting it to disable at certain times.

 

I don't think you completely know how this is working.

The stock market opens at 9:30.
The stock market goes live at 9:45.
Now if I get up at 9:30, I can google up how much all the stocks have increased.
I have 15 minutes before the stocks go up or down (like they are supposed to.)
I use up ALL of my money to buy xyz stock, because that stock went up by a meeble.
Now, when 9:45 comes up and the stock actually updates like it's supposed to, now xyz stock has gone up by a meeble.
I have profited lots of my money within 15 minutes.

that's why it's not fair and disabling it for 15 minutes would completely throw away this method.

They aren't doing anything necessarily against the rules, they are just playing the system. Its meep's fault for setting up the plugin like this. Not the players for using the exploit.

X-raying involves modifying your game, not the same thing. Duping is in fact illegal. This isn't a glitch by any means. It was set up by staff and the players are simply using it. Is it bad? Yes but nobody should get banned for it.

 

Its not a glitch, its the way the plugin was made. Good try though.

 

Not even, I know 3 xray glitches I can do without touching any texture or mod. I know how to abuse Towny to dupe diamond blocks . but thats how the plugin was made!!!!!!.

No the staff did not intend you to be able to make millions on the spot by allowing the stock market to be up at the wrong time.

 

Then they have to fix towny, same with this.

However, the players shouldn't be punished for using this. This is a design flaw not a glitch. The towny plugin wasn't intended for you to dupe diamond blocks but the stock market was designed to open 15 min prior.
