Apparently, anyone can become a staff member nowadays.

Oh well, good luck new staff.

 

To be fair, helpers bust their ass to give the players a good time, #respect from me -- It just sucks the quality of those applying is low, so they have to take something, regardless.

I'd give a fair chance to everyone, except Bam_Nitro, because he literally abused privacy commands to benefit himself, that's a pretty big low. He literally went through another person's entire prism history to look for a conversation to benefit himself. This is like giving a crackhead some money and expecting him to not buy crack. I spawned in prolly 60M in total - I left all your privacy to you.

If you look, this is the one and only post of mine that calls out a specific member of staff - That dude is sketchy af.

Keeping in mind - My first application was worst than anyone that has applied for staff in the last year or so. Give the new helpers a fair chance before dogging them - Dogging them first can definitely lead them to do far worse than they normally would have done.

And keep in mind they will be essentially giving up their play time, in order to help you guys enjoy yours more. I think most of the newer helpers will do fine.

Well, im not gonna start a argument and I can care less if your gonna believe what im gonna say. I never checked another players private information, I had permission from the person to check if they paid me or not but the first thing that popped up was a message of the person saying that I did something that I didnt do which caused a huge fight, I was never asked my side of the story and was demoted without even being talk to about it. I will admit that I made some mistakes along the way but dont we all?
I gave the staff team my all and was demoted over something that I wasnt even asked about, so please dont say I checked someones private messages to benefit myself.
You were a great staff member and I respected you a lot.
And it hurts me to see someone who I looked up to and was a great role model to come and roast me like that when they dont even know the full story.

Well, it was literally why you were demoted, so, I guess there is that. I think I was the one who demoted you, as well. I'm not roasting you, as I said, I hope you prove me wrong now.

 

Solution: Give me admin and console.

 

I hate how @Klitcher was trying to be nice and this turned into a debate where everyone's taking shots at each other. Come on guys, I thought we were all more mature than this.

Though I do agree with the fact that this was an unnecessary random shoutout of the new helpers, public praise is important for several reasons

1) It motivates more than just a compliment in a private convo.
2) Shows respect in public eye, people are more willing to do so.
3) They get recognized. In this being that helpers spend hours making your server better selflessly (hopefully).

Beautiful brownie points for your staff app darty, and I'm sure they meant the best. But I'd put a solid amount of money that the helpers would have more appreciated a personal thank you rather than a thread throwing them all in together

 

It's a voluntary rank. They don't need any praise. I'm sure when you work in customer support, your management doesn't come in and thank you for answering consumers questions.

I always though helpers are meant to help, not be actual staff. Moderators handle the real issues, which is the way it's always been done.

 

In no matter what job you have, if you're doing exceptional work , your superiors are going to thank you. That's just standard politeness

Also, if there weren't any helpers, all the things you're classifying as not "real issues" would be the job of the Moderators+ which would either result in A: The "real issues" not being taken care of or B: A dissapointed community because their "not really issues" aren't being taken care of
