Yeah completely up to personal preference. I would only ever do it if I felt very strongly for the person. But if a supermod is going to +1 a controversial member of the community for staff, it is not completely unreasonable to expect people to ask your reasoning.

Since a large portion of your app is copy/pasted from your previous app I am just going to copy/paste a large portion of my previous reply:

Vkl I can't ever see you as a staff member.

I've personally spent dozens of hours on cases that directly or indirectly involve you. From spreading underage nudes of fellow meepers to exploiting bugs that could make you millions of meebles, you seem to have broken every rule that the server has laid out. I would not trust you to uphold these rules and follow them to the spirit of the letter as a staff member. You've poven time and time again that when you get the trust of the staff you will break that trust and do something completely idiotic. Others are saying not to hold your past against you but that's completely asinine, the past teaches us about the present and the future, you've definitely taught us you're completely unfit for this and that you're likely to do something illegal once you simply get bored again (your own words dude).

Vkl I don't ever see you post anything constructive on Meepcraft forums, I don't see you helping people, creating suggestions, improving suggestions, etc etc. Every other post you've made is a Ban Appeal, I've seen people denied because they were banned one time 3 months prior to their app! To consider you for the position after making those type of denials would be completely illogical.

In short I do not, and cannot, trust you. Your actions and words in the past have shown me your character well enough to make a judgement on your future. You put such little effort into this app that it seems like its all a joke. And seriously you lost mostly all of my respect when I was working the case that involved you sexually harassing a young girl and fellow meeper, and it's a disgusting show of character that does not embody the staff team at all.

Does none of the staff that +1ed him find it worrying that on all of the criticism he has received on the app, he either attacked the author or completely ignored it and replied with the equivalent of "kk". I'm seriously worried that people are putting their personal preference over the very basics that people have been denied for in the past. That MOST people have been denied for in the past. I'm interested to see if anyone is going to defend his actions or just put it to a vote and accept him as we did with bl4t0.

Also Del is correct. VKL didn't even care enough about being staff to write an original app. I'm sure a bunch of you encouraged him to apply and he seriously didn't care enough to work on it himself. Lmfao. Please don't accept this. If anyone did half of this it would be an auto deny and a 2 week waiting period.

Since posting my first comment (a hesitant plus 1) I encouraged VKL to become staff in my town because while he's always helping in global I hadn't seen him help 1 on 1. He has really gone above and beyond. He is friendly, active, and hasn't been banned recently. This isn't an act because he still isn't perfect but I've seen him grow over the last year and I think it's genuine. Do I think he is a risk? Yes. But the risk in my opinion is worth it because he is an extremely good person and a hard worker. He's extremely positive and truly desires to do well.
On the other side I know from watching others that he is very charming and can manipulate people but there is a huge difference from the VKL that got on ts last year talking about how he just passed out from xanax to the VKL I see in shout that is full of energy and enthusiasm. I do hold his past against him. I think he did horrible things. However he was not yet adult and brains go through many many changes until midtwenties. These changes make you more mature. I do not see those poor actions anymore. I believe over the last year he has truly become more mature. He and I talk everyday and I believe that he trusts me and yet I have seen no hint of the awful behavior of his past. He is smart, creative, friendly, and hardworking.
The getting bored part holds merit but that may never happen. The Frank I know would be worth adding to the team.

That is incredible that my comment, which were detailed reasons and explanations with links on why he shouldn't be staff got deleted. Clearly you want him to be staff, why bother pretending like our opinions matter. Waste of my time thinking writing things would influence people who's minds are already made up. Please do me the honor and just auto accept it next time to save me the time.

 

This is just unacceptable guys, stop acting like children. He's a man, he can take it. Logical evidence and reasoning is meant for apps, and what @epick8 is saying is completely logical and I agree with every word he says.

Frank you NEED to stop replying to everyones comment, just saying okay and lol thanks love you or something doesn't exactly showcase the best maturity. I also don't appreciate you getting on me yesterday when I was flaming blue marlin (which okay I shouldn't have done) but Im not applying for helper, don't tell me not to give my opinion on you just because im acting like a dumbie, applicants don't act like Dumbo's (usually).

Referring to Deljikho, it is completely unacceptable to copy/paste ANY of your application. All of it should be original for each app. And especially when it is as short, uninformative, and not helpful at all, is it even worse. You need to take your time. Refer to other apps, Hell ill be self-obsessed and say look at my last app or XxAdotxX's application. Structure your apps better, give us more reasons, even though that probably wouldn't change my opinion of you, as only actions do, it's still a step in the right direction.

no. I'm having fun as a player, but there's only so much I'm able to do as a player before it does get old & being staff opens a new world for me to enjoy and new experiences for me to have instead of just playing towny.

 

Once again, after seeing how you handle your app, I move to a -1.
