The chart is fake it is biased by the government they are wrong and it is Obama lying to us to subversively push his liberal agenda global warming is actually not happening.

I completely agree, but I think that it's important to note that it was more recent scientists who went about disproving geocentism. If current global warming theories actually turn out to be false, this will likely be discovered and proven by more scientists, not by random internet users.

Worse case scenario: Global warming turns out to be fake and we make the world a better place to live for no reason.

The hottest recorded temperature was in 1913 at 134°F. Y'all who believe in "Global Warming" are really gonna tell me the Earth is "Warming Up" when the highest recorded temperature was taken 100 years ago!? Don't ya think if "Global Warming" was actually a "thing" that the Earth would be hotter? Not cooler?

In my opinion, global warming is definitely happening. However, there are a few major things that are often broadcasted and automatically believed by millions:
    A. It's happening at a very fast rate and we are only getting worse every year
    B. Humans are the #1 cause of global warming.

To start with A, this is completely incorrect. From 3 or 4 decades ago until 1996, the world was using lead fuels. This caused a lot of pollution problems. After lead fuels were banned, the amount of pollution went down drastically. People seem to be fooled into thinking that the world is rushing ahead to it's doom with every coming year. This is simply not true. We are better off than we have been in decades. To provide an example, let's say your room is constantly a mess. Your mom gets onto you for it not being clean constantly. You clean your room and keep it that way for several months. Then, when your room is barely dirty (a sock or two on the floor, for example) your mom is equally annoyed. It's because she was used to it being spotless. It's all about comparison.

There have been trends of rising and falling temperatures starting from 0 AD (as far back as the data goes, it could have happened before AD as well) that have almost no correlation to pollutant usage. [IMG]
As you can see, temperatures in AD 200 were at a low of about 0.4, then in the Medieval Age they rose to some all time highs, before plummeting to 0.6 in the Little Ice Age. In the 2000's there is no significant difference from the Medieval Warm Period, and you know King Arthur wasn't guzzling dinosaurs in his dually. If man-made pollution made a big difference, we would see a very significant jump in the 1970's period, and then an equally significant fall into the 2000's, but instead it rises steadily for the most part. Also, if the pollution was at an all time high in the 1970's why was there a "global cooling" hubbub going around? If these scientists are so reliable, they would have noticed something this significant. but in my opinion it just boils down to people playing demagogue: leading the people in whatever popular belief will cause the leaders personal profit.

To end it off, I believe in global warming, but I also believe in global cooling. It's about letting the earth do it's thing. If we panic now, we may feel stupid in 200 years when it cools off again.

@bloodyghost blah blah blah yeah yeah yeah I agree. I really do. Global cooling and global warming are a thing it's just as I said in climate change. I believe in global warming as what is used to be defined as and not what it's defined as today. The temperatures rise and the ice starts to melt then boom the temperatures start to cool and boom we have ice again. Been that way FOREVER! Just ask the dinosaurs.

Carbon is a molecule that traps heat.

Humans put a lot of carbon in our atmosphere.

    2 scenarios can play out:

One, global warming isn't real and/or is natural and comes in waves, so it really isn't dangerous. All the scientists were wrong. We prepared for it though, and maybe we would feel a bit stupid, and there would be some damaging affects. However, we'd know that we're prepared if something bad does happen.

Two, global warming is real, and we prepare for it. Take action to keep the state of the planet from getting worse. And maybe we won't succeed, but we'll be working to keep our planet healthy.

What I'm trying to say is that it would be better to act then do nothing, even if we do somehow turn out wrong about this, it's better to be safe then sorry.

    Also, this ^

You are denying that throughout factory pollution, we put no carbon in the atmosphere?

We put a bunch of carbon into the atmosphere, then the carbon leaves the atmosphere. It doesn't just sit there.

Atmospheric escape really only affects the super-light gases found at the upper levels of our atmosphere. If I recall, from my periodic table of elements, carbon is pretty heavy, much heavier than hydrogen and helium. So if carbon, being this heavy, is being sucked out of our atmosphere, into space then why are not the other lighter elements being taken with it?

Can you please cite any scientific explanation that shows carbon just magically leaves our atmosphere once we put it there?

It gets soaked up by the oceans and lakes and water areas! I never said it went into space!

How Much CO2 Can The Oceans Take Up?

That source says roughly 26% of carbon dioxide is absorbed by the oceans. 28% to plants, etc and 46% into the atmosphere.

How does that 46% escape, like you claim?

Also, what happens to all the wildlife in the oceans who now live in a much more carbon rich environment? Do they get like super-strong, or probably die off?
