Being founded on religion doesn't really mean anything significant. People act as if Christianity was the only religion that ever mattered in America. Over 100 Native American tribes have been performing same-sex marriages with their belief in 'two-spirited' people, and they have been doing so since long before European colonization. Yet, despite our accepted belief in separation of "church and state", we fail to fulfill the religious freedom of minority religions.

Why must we pay taxes, even though we are a free country? To fund schools and general community necessities that improve our livelihood? Why must we wait until we are of legal age to start drinking and smoking, even though we are a free country? To protect our own health and assure that we grow up with fully developing brains?

While I really do think Obamacare should be improved, this universal healthcare system does give those who cannot afford it the chance they deserve. The United States, especially before Obamacare, is one of the only major countries in the world where people could go bankrupt from health insurance expenses.

 

There is no need for homos to exist in this world in my opinion. If it is because of love that's not my fault do, if you love your mother you don't need to marry her so neither them. They really have to deal with it -.-. In 60 years we wont know who is male or female thanks to those surgeries they have created. The way people succeed is by living the normal way not the weird one.

 

Wikipedia is an extremely reliable source, at least for pages that hold any importance. There are people paid to monitor it.

No, homos are not needed, they don't help humanity at all, and they don't even make any good just bad. In my opinion the U.S. should do what Russia does.

No, because individual gender recognition goes beyond the binary status that modern media portrays. You could have all the physical attributes of being a male and consciously feel female and vice versa. If you feel that you're a woman, then in my mind you are a woman - irrespective of if you have gender reassignment surgery so that your physical aligns with your mental or not. Would I be 100% okay with dating someone with that past? I can't say for sure, and I would definitely need to think about for a bit because it's a situation I don't think is commonplace or carefully considered by many, but I can't brush it aside completely at face value.

 

Let's remember this is Gay rights not religion, you also have to convince the non believers why gays shouldn't be accepted.
