Red - Constitutional ban on same-sex marriage
Dark Red - Constitutional ban on same-sex marriage and civil unions.

 

So? They should realize that political decisions shouldn't be guided by religious ones. A lot of people would argue that conservatives keep they country from running as well as it should.

 

I might just be misunderstanding you but they way I'm interpreting this is that you don't like that LGBT have different political beliefs than you.

I can see your point though but I find it erroneous. I would only defend it in the cases of insects like flys trying to mate with the same sex (an example given by someone). This is probably only the case because there is a mass of flys mating and let's be honest... flys are not smart and they can mistake sexes.

The technology isn't there yet, lots of defects come as a result of this. Even in vitro fertilization (really an almost natural birth) there is a high defect rate but this is most likely due to the fact one of the parents was infertile/not optimum for reproduction naturally so there goes that argument's weight lol.

In my family, I have many people who are gay; my mom, my god mother, and my cousin. Even one of my friends are gay. The fact that people think they have the right to tell a person they cannot get married because they don't love a person of the opposite sex disgusts me. People should get to love a person based on their own individial thoughts, not by a law.

 

You're right, I did make a mistake about the divorce being punishable by death. Although, that was established over a week ago. Someone, however, already corrected me on this.

Regardless, divorce digresses from the actual topic.

My view on the issue still stands. Churches should NOT have to allow same-sex marriage, but they should NOT stop other people from performing same-sex marriages. I agree with a strict separation of church and state.

What Hestia said was "two men in one bed" that doesn't mean they were having intercourse, that means they were in the same bed, what I said was "sleeping in the same bed with my brother" that doesn't mean that either.

I never even saw this quote but I think you are wrong.

I know a homosexual Broadway actor, he is nice and decided he wanted to adopt a child with his boyfriend. The kid is very respectful, kind, and an all around good person. The child is grateful to be in a home where his adoptive parents care for him and do everything they can to give him a good education so he can succeed.

What is better, a gay family adopting a child that seeks a family, and actually cares for the child or a natural born child in a dysfunctional heterosexual family that ends in divorce, and has a lot of conflict?

Homosexuals don't have a mental illness, they just are attracted to a different sex for whatever reason. I like females and I can't explain why... I just do. Homosexuals just find their own sex attractive and that's that.

I'm confident about Virginia. The governor won't support the gay marriage ban, and there's growing support for it there.

 

As long as someone doesn't bother me or try shoving crazy ideas at me you can do what ever the hell you want.

 

Well, that's just the Old Testament. If you follow the Old Testament... then you're living by a lot of rules, primarily Jewish ones. From my knowledge, Christians don't need to follow that part of the Bible.

 

I don't see a problem with it really. Why should people take away other peoples rights because of what a book says? I think they should be able to.

 

I don't find anything wrong with being gay/lesbian. However I do think its kinda gross but people are people and we all are different.
