Why? That's what straight people do. It's not like gay people are scary. Besides, that is a right: the right to stand up for what they believe in.

Well, Ruth loved Naomi as Adam loved Eve. God create Adam and Eve, but he also created Ruth and Naomi, and David and Jonathon.

"I grieve for you, Jonathan my brother; you were very dear to me. Your love for me was wonderful, more wonderful than that of women."
    -2 Samuel 1:26

"And as soon as the boy had gone, David rose from beside the stone heap and fell on his face to the ground and bowed three times. And they kissed one another and wept with one another, David weeping the most."
    -1 Samuel 20:41

    • Being that the only type of relationship with women back then was sexual, David meant this is a romantic kind of way. It goes well beyond a close friendship between two men. Their relationship was thought of as positively in the Bible.

As for Ruth and Naomi, the same Hebrew word used to describe Adam's love for Eve described Ruth's love for Naomi. These two women were also not condemned in the Bible.
    -Genesis 2:24 & Ruth 1:14
    • The same love for Adam to Eve is obviously sexual and romantic. For Ruth to share that with Naomi clearly demonstrates a same-sex attraction to other women.

The quotes in the Bible that you may find that suggest homosexual activity to be a sin are easily misinterpreted. During the time the Bible was written, homosexuals were considered Eunuchs, men unfit to be with women. And the Bible in fact does say some Eunuchs are born that way, choose to be that way, or become celibates.

"For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let the one who is able to receive this receive it.
    -Matthew 19:12

Given the misinterpretation, the Bible does not talk against all homosexual activity. It does however condemn the acts of pederasty. Pederasty being the act of an older male having relations with a young boy, one not old enough for consent. As well as homosexuals have relations with heterosexuals, opposite or same-sex both included.

The blunt translations of the Bible to English in fact do change some meanings, especially in terms of what types of homosexual acts are allowed. God does not hate the homosexual, and in fact, he created them. Proof of homosexuals being born gay is evident, and supported by biblical readings that suggest they were born gay. Don't mistake modern translations to be the word of God. Think back to what life was like when Jesus was around. Jesus condemned the same homosexual acts that are condemned in heterosexual activity. People born gay aren't ill, they are blessed no less than you are.

My God, it's been proven that homosexuality is a natural occurrence, it's not necessarily related to DNA though. (only partially) And by natural, I mean actually being born LGBT. I don't mean the actual LGBT 'activity'.

For males, the more older brothers someone has, the higher chance of being gay. Basically, the womb recognizes the Y chromosome as a foreign substance. Thus, it create anti-bodies to try and fix this substance. Being that it is tampering with something that is supposed to be there, it's changing the way it functions. It then feminizes the brain. The womb remembers each boy being born, and in every pregnancy of a male it is increasingly stronger the effect of anti-bodies on the baby. Gays produce a bit more hormones of women, and lesbians produce more hormones of men. Now, they say the chance of a boy being gay increases by 33% with each older brother. I myself have 2 older brothers, and many gay males I have met claim they have at least 1 older brother. This is a statistic that has researchers shocked!

It's also been linked to being left or right handed. Homosexuals actually have brains that resemble the opposite sex. When shown under and MRI, it's clear that this is true!

Notice how the brain resembles that of the opposite sex. It is also shown that gays and lesbians have an increasingly higher chance of being left handed because of this change in the brain. Statistically speaking, lesbians are 91% more likely to be left handed than straight women. Gay males are statistically 34% more likely to be left handed than straight men.

Now, back to male homosexuality, they actually did find a gene that influences sexual activity in males found in the X-Chromosome. It has been linked to homosexuality. It's a rather recent article that I came across soon after it came out.
    http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/02/study-finds-genes-on-x-chromosome-linked-to-male-homosexuality/

As for reproduction, you are not wrong. But the reason homosexuality hasn't been erased from the gene pool is because every heterosexual women is capable of giving birth to someone who is LGBT. And as the study said, the reason they are still here is believed to be because these genes make women more fertile.

I've looked into that for quite some time. I've found out a lot about how gay conversion therapy fails and makes people very suicidal. For those who claimed 'success', it's a very small percentage, and it's likely that they may be fooling themselves...
I can vouch that no homosexual can simply "choose" to be straight either.

Please stop. I honestly used to hold a lot of respect for you before seeing your posts on any of these Gay Rights threads. Please do look up notable gay people in history, who in fact have contributed a lot to humanity.

Well, I know it's not a choice. Here's something I've always wanted to ask someone...

Where in the Bible does it say being gay is a choice?

meh I dont really mind but its a little spammy. I've notice that you tend to be over the top and write loudy.
I'm not saying any of this is a bad thing its your personalty and some of them are interesting. Still sometimes it would be nice if you communicate what you believe in your own words. I would pay more attention to them. A lot of time when you write like this Its hard to read so i don't even bother.

No, because I pause within the pauses trying to say something but can't find any words to express the extreme disappointment and ashamedness I had for you right then.

And I won't hold your beliefs against you. Believe whatever you want, that's okay with me. And I respect your beliefs as you hold them so dear to you. Now, I have my reasons to defend same-sex marriage and other LGBT rights, and I just hope that the church doesn't interfere with the rights of people LGBT people.

There was a time when I've forsaken the church because I could not understand why God would make people gay then have his followers go out to attack them. It pained me every night to think that my future would be made so horrible solely based on the beliefs of the other people (and formerly my own group of people). I've gone from hardcore Christian to atheist, but now I'm pretty much an agnostic. Now, what you're saying is different than the kinds of people I have encountered. I've had people harass me on a daily bases for months and had minimal help from other people. It took years to finally accept who I was, and to stop trying to change myself, but to instead try showing others why it's important to treat others equally. Don't get me wrong, my goal is not to make others believe in what I believe, but rather, to make people aware of the psychological damage being caused when they show their homophobic beliefs to other people.

All I'm trying to say is, believe what you want but don't let your beliefs get in the way of other peoples'.

Honestly, that's not really that bad, imo. I've, regretfully, pushed it further than that guy (not again though, haha). Don't get me wrong, I would never do anything as bad as what 2klassy described,. But I do think that was weird, as I don't see what he was trying to accomplish by just bending over in the middle of a conversation.

But yea, I have many guy friends and I am attracted to none of them. I do play along with gay jokes, but don't actually take any of them seriously in terms of actual sexual orientation. (I'm actually just used to it).

I have never experienced anything like that although one guy did hit on me one time and it felt really strange....

He was talking to me and randomly he drops change in front of me and bends over and I'm like okayyyyyyyyy. I remained friendly to the guy and I respect him for at least going for it hahaha.

Yeah, I wouldn't say every gay person is into every person of their own sex. I think we could both agree that we both don't find all females attractive yet we like females as a whole.
