Bug: When I watch a thread, I get notifications for a short time, then it stops
Time/Date: The past week or so, current dat it 2/25/2014
Steps to reproduce: Make a/ reply to a thread, and wait.
Evidence: I don't have any, as it would be slightly difficult, but I could make a test thread and sneenshop it. it doesn't happen with most threads, but some.

Yeah, it is. I'm finding things I posted on in the 'recent posts' thing on the homepage, but no alert the ''this person replied to this thread''

 

Go to preferences and make sure the box is checked that says "Automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply..."

 

Oh, I've checked, and double, and triple checked that box, clicked save, everything.

 

Do you have all the boxes checked in Alert Preferences?

 

Yep. On this website, I should get alerts for everything I'm supposed to.

 

Alright I finally understand! (Thanks Flamedemond2) So basically what is happening to you is what is supposed to be happening.

You get an alert that someone replies to the thread, it never alerts you again unless you read the thread. This is what is supposed to happen.

 

Actually....no. I reply to thread A, and someone else will reply after. I read it almost immediatly because I'm to addicted to forums. <3
Sometimes I'll get an alert after that, and sometimes not. I know that when 2 people reply to the thread and I didn't see yet, it won't give me an alert for both people, just one....
