This sounds like you're just jealous of his success and butthurt about your failures (staff application). Most probably a form of anger and 'revenge'.

Flame, let me start out by saying that you are an outstanding Helper. You really are. I have been impressed with your work since the beginning. I was going to give this a positive vote with no doubts. However, before I did that I went to check some things. When I was looking, I realized that you have not executed enough bans.
Normally the amount of bans don't completely matter, but for new Helpers I think they do. They are the only way you get confident with different situations that you are handling. After looking at the amount of bans you have done and reflecting back on what a Moderator needs to know in order to teach Helpers, I do not think you are ready. I feel like you need to expand your horizons by claiming modreqs that you are unsure of to get practice in certain situations as well. Also, don't let being staff detiriorate your activity in /shout.
Overall, I do not think you are quite ready. I don't think you have memorized everything that a Moderator needs to know in order to assist Helpers in tough situations. The best "fix" for this will all come naturally in time. Spend time familiarizing yourself with unfamiliar situations, claim modreqs that you are unsure of, and don't hesitate to ask questions!

You're really active on teampseak, in game, and on the forums, which is always great but I think you need a bit of time. You don't hesitate to ask for help and that's great. When I help you out, you seem to really listen and take in the information, but I still think that you need to wait a bit longer. It's nothing against the way you act or anything, just that you need a bit more time. I think you will be a great moderator but not at the moment, you still have a lot to learn, I think. Sorry, but I stand at a -1 only for the reason of you not being quite ready yet, but in a couple of weeks I think you would excel as a moderator. I had my doubts of you becoming a helper before but I'm really impressed, so please don't get discouraged by this - I just don't think you're ready yet for moderator. Sorry.

I honestly don't care that you're my brother. This is my opinion.
•Inactive in shout.
•Immature.
Nevertheless, I don't think you are ready. -

Intro:
To those of you who don't know me already, my name is flamedemond2, but you can just call me flame. I have been playing on meepcraft for over 1 year and 2 months, and not to long ago I was accepted for an interview for helper. It was not too long after that I did my interview, and the reaction on my face once I found out I was the newest helper was priceless. I was ecstatic! I literally could not sit still in my seat for 10 seconds without needing to jump around. So as you can guess, it was an amazing feeling for me. I would now like to take the next step into my career as a member of the staff by becoming a moderator, broadening my horizons with the increased capability of the rank.
Why:
Activity
Over the past 3 weeks, I have been incredibly active, whether its from participating in /shout, being online in teamspeak, or talking with people on the forums. I am online almost every day, and have never seen a day where things haven't been productive. I always utilize my time the best I can when I'm online, always finding a way to make the server a more enjoyable place for others. As for teamspeak, I am always looking for a way to contribute positively to a conversation rather then to stir it in the wrong path and just make nothing out of it. I find that if there is more engaging conversation happening, people tend to get drawn to the channel regardless if they're talking or not.
Modreq's
With all that being said, one of the main ways I have helped others is through modreqs. Modreq's are a great way to really get involved with the community and really help them with their problems 1 on 1. Just speaking from my perspective and my experiences, I have always found it easier and more helpful to have a 1 on 1 conversation with someone then to just have it shouted out to me by a bunch of different people. Not only that, but I really do enjoy actually doing the modreq's. I feel really happy knowing that I've been able to help someone out and have been able to make a positive difference in their time spent on meep. On top of all that, I have a modreq count of about 400, in just 3 short weeks!
Work ethic
As I said in my helper app, I am a "try hard" kinda guy. No matter what the situation, I will always try my best no matter what. Although, sometimes with all the people I'm trying to help at once, it can get overwhelming and it's hard to try my hardest with each person. Above all, that would be the one thing I would hope to improve on the most.
Efficiency
Overall, I think I am incredibly efficient with what I set out to do. When dealing with players, I have always done my best to be incredibly thorough with all the possibilities. There have been times when I have spent well over half an hour on something that could have been solved in just minutes, and it's because I like to explore the realm of possibilities. Hence, leaving no stone unturned and being the most efficient I can. Besides from the actual work I do, I try to establish a relationship with the person I'm helping ultimately making it easier to communicate with the person. I try to compleat things well in a short periods of time, making time for others in need.
The extra mile
I personally take it upon myself to try and reach higher then what is expected of me. The moment I got helper I made it a goal for me to do at least 20 modreq's a day, so far that goal has been met. I also take it upon myself to occasionally check up on people I have previously helped, just to make sure everything's running smoothly.
New commands
Over the course of my time being staff, I have learned so much, especially the new commands. I have learned most things to do with hawkeye that have to do with searching or hawkeye tool. I hope that as I further progress in the staff, I will have the opportunity to explore even more new commands and be able to utilize them to the best of my ability.
Weaknesses:
- this is a very rare occurrence, but none the less it still happens. I will occasionally forget to close a modreq, or claim 2 modreq's at the same time. I have been working on becoming more conscious of what I have closed and what I have not.
- I try to help more then one person at once and at times can cause me to become stressed or overwhelmed. I will still try my best in each situation, it's just that when I put myself in those situations, I am more prone to becoming annoyed more quickly.
In conclusion I would like to leave you with a quote.
I'ma be what I set out to be, without a doubt undoubtedly
And all those who look down on me I'm tearing down your balcony
-Eminem
To me this would mean that if I've set out to become something or do something, I will not stop at it until I have achieved what I set out for.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my app. Any feedback you have would be greatly appreciated.kevman967, SX1, Empoleon_master and 2 others like this. -
Flame, I love you bby but -1. Its not because I don't think you're bad at what you do or anything its just...its early. I really do like that you claim the modreq almost immediately when they pop up, you're friendly and I've never seen you super immature. One thing negative is that you seem to question other people's judgement a little bit, not that it isn't a bad thing its sometimes uncalled for. I really think you can and will make a great mod, just you need a little more time.
