At this point I think staff care more about toxic players than money

 

Cause it's Meep. Link it in with some other things. It is all economy. Have a town/nation and have a faction of which you build a community and are not just restricted towns. It will add variety. We need a new addition to economy to compete against economy servers. This will hopefully give us the boost that we need

Well, if enough people want Fuzzlr to make it happen, he will have to or people will start quitting and Meep will die.

Ya I'd have to say -1 as well towny and factons are inherently different in the types of players that play and would segregate the community. I think the current structure is pretty balanced and there is something for everybody already and most people take part in the majority of the features on the server. While meep would likely see a few more players it's doubtful that they would contribute much to the current community. If it did happen as @Deinen mentioned something would have to change with donor perks to entice more donations to support the additional hardware required to add this feature.

 

We could add donor perks relating to factions. Maybe only a certain rank or up could make a faction, and donors can claim more land.

We need to add things, like minigames, to just do when you are bored. Towny is nice, but you can't just sit there and "play" towny. It's not something that keeps people entertained. PVP terrarium is empty 80% of the time, and when it's not, the only people there have god armor so anyone that can't afford that is screwed. CTF is okay, but Halo is often empty, and there are times when HG and Infected are pretty empty of players too. Spleef is fun, but often empty (This is partially cause spleef can get REALLY laggy on some slower computers). Boomo should be brought back, it's fun and a good game that you can just play, it's not time consuming or long like CTF is. Basically, if Meep wants more players, we need to put more emphasis on minigames so people will play them more and they will not be as empty. Also, new minigames would help attract more players.

 

I've been playing on other servers (sometimes... I've promised myself never to log on to Minecraft again) and really the difference in player count is simply that here, we have a nice community, yes, but it takes a while and effort to get into it. Players just want to play a game. Most don't want to be part of a town, or something that requires regular activity. They just want to log on, play a game or two, and log off.
