The reality of war is that innocent people are bound to die regardless. I think ISIS would kill even more people if nothing is done at all. Although, war could potentially destabilize the region even more. ISIS can successfully recruit family/friends of dead victims of enemy attacks. It's basically an elaborate circle of war --> deaths --> recruiting --> terrorism --> war --> deaths --> recruiting --> terrorism

 

Which is exactly why we shouldn't play into it.

ISIS comes off the back of an ideology. Unless we kill everyone that believes in the values that ISIS propagates (and even then, who's to say that they'll never resurface), then it'll come back in some form or another. Kill the root, and attack ideas with better ideas. Not with bombs.
