Yesterday, (may @allah forgive me for uttering this name), @Zer0000000000 posted an application onto your website. The application was obviously a troll application, she copied another user's app and changed absolutely nothing about it. This idea was both of ours, and it was seriously an incredibly funny experience. The person we stole the application from, @SpongeyStar, commented on the thread before it got deleted, acknowledging the joke and laughing with us.
Today the application was deleted. I want a simple answer. Why?
Why delete it? What harm does this thread do? Seriously, there is so little new content on this site that everything should be embraced. I don't get the purpose of enforcing rules that do nothing but take away the fun from the server.
Hey moderator who deleted it, here's a message for you. Do you know the great ex-staff members Deinen, MrsMegan, Rosenow, all those legends? Wanna know what made them similar? They were fun. They recognized this was a game and that a game's main purpose is to be fun. You, on the other hand, probably pride yourself on having a single position of power in any portion of your life. You are probably, in the real world, a shy loser who can't ask for an extra ketchup packet at McDonald's. Recognize that you only ban people to stroke your ego and that you're making this already dead server a little less fun. -
Delete this thread, riri30, and nothing will change. Meepcraft will still be dead. You will still be an absolute loser, and everyone relevant to Meepcraft will still never know who you are. I don't know what's more sad, becoming a moderator on a Minecraft server to deal with some deep-rooted inadequacy, or continuing to become a mod, scraping as much power as you can, years after it's dead. Banning me, deleting my thread, or doing anything else won't let you escape from that truth.
The only "power" you have over me is in that moderator title of yours, and, unfortunately, your threats are as empty as it. All heil riri30, moderator of a dead Minecraft server. Sitting on that iron throne, moderator of absolutely no one.Last edited: Nov 9, 2019Silver01, Toostenheimer, iiTzJDL and 6 others like this. -

Why not just deny an app rather than delete it? Even if old applications were deleted, there are some that remain that were simply denied, as Spongey even hyperlinked. You all are just acting childish, calling each other stupid remarks on a Minecraft forums for a Minecraft server that was created in 2014. If that is not cringey, you need to take a better look at your life and re-evaluate how you are spending your time. Especially if you who are putting this much effort arguing into deleting a post over denying it, even if it's against the server's "rules". This server has gone down the drain and no one plays like they used to.
My basic point, without losing any more brain cells than I have from most of this thread: just deny it, don't delete it, and let people make silly jokes. I'm sure it requires less brain power to deny it rather than the wasted energy put into arguing over the decision. No one is going to come onto Meep and have the experience we all did when the server was actually popular, so why be so uptight about the rules for a dead server's forums? We're all adults with busy lives (or so I had previously thought), so stop taking everything so seriously and wasting your time. -
im heartbroken did they think the app wasn't good enough ://

I remember this time in old meep where everyone on the server decided to shout the letter “g”. Immediately after, fifteen temp bans and even two permanent bans were administered for it. Why did this happen? The staff team chose to flex their administrative muscle on a block game to stroke their ego rather than dismissing this event as a harmless server wide event. This makes me furious.
And you talk about rules? Remember when admins would just ban people and put the ban message as “appeal”? The rules mean nothing because they are always dismissed one way or another when someone higher up wants to dismiss them. If you want to be technical, quite literally any question spoken in chat can be argued for fitting under “inciting spam”. There’s also a rule in the rules that says staff member can ban others for any reason under their discretion. Methinks the rules are bogus!
You’re intelligent, think about it. Why do people want to be staff? Why would people ever want a job where they do legitimate work for absolutely no pay? Most, with few exceptions, choose to become staff members because they are power hungry. They need it for their ego. Meepcraft mods are exactly like reddit mods. They forget what Minecraft is about at its core - a game meant to have fun.
Meepcraft moderators, you have no power over me. Just because you got picked to enforce rules on a block game means absolutely nothing. I defy you.Lilliya, IzzSt, Toostenheimer and 3 others like this. -
There needs to be more staff engagement past the development, past all the features youre trying to provide. You want the server to be great again. Thats good, thats great. But whats the pull if stuff keeps getting taken away and redone and theres so much back and forth?
The server used to be all about the community, gameplay second. Now its about gameplay, sort of, first, getting rid of all the bad people who say bad things second, and community third. Give the players a reason to stay, not a reason to drop in, not a reason to come back for a week to look at "oh, this is a cool plugin." Stay. You need people to stay. -
imagine having drama on a server with literally a 6 player peak on weekends

Hahaha imagine complaining about this whew that gave me a chuckle
Also, all the people complaining about why Meepcraft is dying don't understand why it was popular in the first place. Fuzzlr dumped a ton of money into advertisements. That's how I initially found the server. That's how it got a massive playerbase. Once he stopped advertising, it was a steady decline. The large active playerbase was enough to maintain the server's popularity for a while, but eventually the rate of players quitting eclipsed the rate of new players coming in. Once the server regularly dropped beneath about 100 players online at a time, it essentially killed the economy aspect of the server because there wasn't a large enough pool of consumers which just furthered the server's decline. The reason it hasn't gotten more players with the minecraft resurgence is because we aren't advertising to the new players. That's it. It isn't because our mods are too mean, or we don't have any fun. To develop a large playerbase you need to advertise.Last edited: Dec 3, 2019Erebus45, IzzSt, BlackJack and 1 other person like this.
