Changing Town Staff (Rank) Tax (Poll Included)

please no do you know how broke i am so now i have to do free work for the town and pay taxes too!!! NAH i protest i protest

 

Personally, I think that co+ should automatically be tax exempt, but Id rather have it this way then tax exemption for everyone

 

In my opinion, it should be like this:

Mayor (Not Taxed)
Co-Mayor (Not Taxed)
Assistant (Taxed)
Builder (Taxed)
Recruiter (Taxed)

I think by default, Co-Mayors shouldn't have to pay taxes because of the high role. However, I think you should have to option to tax them. However, with lower roles, they should be taxed automatically, unless you exempt them.

I don't think there would be a reason for a Mayor to take themselves though, lol. Also, I think only Mayors should be able to exempt people from taxes, not Co-Mayors, because then they can just exempt themselves.

 

this is going against the common people and benefiting only the pockets of the wealthy

 

It's all a matter of giving mayors the option. Simply just ask your mayor (in your case, me).

Two things on this:
Half of Peachstreet's co-mayors were worthless scumbags who did little to nothing (when I worked there)
Give your hardworking staff VIP, problem solved

 

some new players think because they are VIP in a town they get VIP perms on server. We were trying to find a way to separate the two. Any suggestions for VIP other then TaxExempt? Looking for suggestions?

 

or rename server rank VIP to something else like "donator" or "supporter" or change Citizen -> Meeper and VIP -> Citizen

 

We are not changing server rank names. We can always leave the town ranks alone, it is meant to give Mayors the ability to truly run the towns as they see fit. honestly I have never been a fan of VIP in towns anyway because if the people in the towns get it does it mean the rest of the residents are NOT Very Important People?
