Bring back old meep!

Wait can i just ask, alpha and beta are getting reset? I thought gamma was a great alternative but if this is true...

 

Alpha/Beta have never been planned to be reset. It's only been said by those who are salty about this reset.

 

The fact you are using "salty" as a response... Just no words. Anyway, here i am trying to explain. Why isn't there a wild or a shop for a or b, even though its coming in the "near future" - i think it is fairly obvious what is happening. Also you said "never been planned, but then you say this reset"? Confused much.

 

Salty. Unhappy. Angry. We don't gotta be politically correct 100% of the time, do we? You understood what I meant, why is it a big deal?

There is a Wild and a Shop coming for Alpha/Beta. It's better that they did it this way, to be honest. Get everything set up for the new economy, worlds, etc, so every newcomer and person using Gamma can do so without any issues. Keep Alpha and Beta around for the people who want it and play on it, and add a Wild/Shop so people can continue to make money. The majority of players will be on Gamma so everything there needs to work smoothly. Alpha/Beta can wait. Bide your time, you're in the minority and you should be happy Alpha/Beta exists at all anymore.

And yes, it is fairly obvious what's happening. Meep for the most part has been reset. A new economy, new way of doing things, has been brought into play. Alpha and Beta exist for those who have put hard work into those worlds and don't want to lose it. You are going to be in the minority, not necessarily neglected, but you need to understand that the rest of Meep is going to take precedence over Alpha/Beta.

Alpha/Beta were never going to be reset. If they were planned to be reset, we wouldn't have Gamma, we'd have a reset Alpha/Beta. Understand?

This isnt even true, several people who owned/own several larger towns, shops, etc, have left or gone slightly inactive from legacy to gamma.
And its not like legacy is unplayable. It's nearly the same, items can still be brought into towns (/wild while in legacy worlds) and a shop like /warp shop is in the works.
And there's also the fact that several older players have come back to visit and even start playing for real again because of the new updates that are happening.
This is good for meep as a whole. Its very very good.

 

We hit 100 players for the first time in several weeks, we're at a good positivity right how, it only goes up from here. Updates are being pushed out and fuzzlr is working so hard, its a beautiful thing.
Sometimes stuff gets worse before it gets better. We were not at a good point. But its getting better.

 

It's like Brexit. There are the protesters coming in with a radical new idea, and there are the people who are lamenting the fact that this has come to pass. Actually, it's not so bad. However, staff team, a /warp shop for A&B would be great.

 

Why ya'll so scared of change?

We could also have Rosenow reset the server with some lava.

If there is one thing that has proven true about Meepcraft, it's that resets and changing the ways of the server is chaotic. Let the current Meepcraft be nurtured and develop while growing in players. I remember when the server would reach hundreds of concurrent players but when the server got changed up the playerbase dropped. Just let things keep going and hopefully more players will show up.

 

As a Missourian I was quite skeptical when Gamma was introduced but I took on the "Show Me" attitude and after watching a bit, I realized that Gamma is a fresh and new part of Meepcraft that was direly needed. After building a large town and settling in, I believe Meepcraft is headed in a good direction. When I read about all of the players who want to live in the past, it makes me think of Theodor Geisel's quote, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."

Oh yah gamma is totally cool now I am just angsty teenager who didn't understand why they killed alphabeta

 

Take me back to the days where admins would be called to settle disputes between a wilderness dweller and the "griefer" who destroyed their dirt shack the latter of whom may or may not have been me.

 

Don' bother trying to bring back the old Meep. There are 9 players online atm. Meep is DEAD.

 

9 players because its the weekday + school/timezones. Chill. Meep is NOT dead.
