Whats the town based around, is it in many small districts or one big clump. Is it freebuild, prebuilt or a mix? Do you care if its profitable? Are there plots devoted to roads? How big a priority is the town looking nice? Are low taxes a higher priority? Is the town planned to be huge, medium or small?

I plan on the town being one big clump, all in one area, and the town storage area being the outpost, I plan on it being mostly freebuild but with some prebuilt as well, so a mix I guess. I dont mind if it is profitable, i plan on setting the taxes at 25 meebles a day as well as putting any extra meebles I get into the town bank as well to keep it up and running. The taxes I dont mind but I do want them to stay low as to keep members in the town. And for now It is a small town but depending on the amount of mebers we get that may change. :)

I like plot taxes at 50, it covers the plot cost but is also the most efficient way to tax as residents will stay exactly 60 days (assuming a balance of 3000 meebles) before losing the plots. Since inactive residents are kicked after 60 days, it lines up nicely. I use embassy taxes to cover the other costs like public plots and like to keep them between 75-125 meebles.

Resident taxes are probably fine staying at 0 so that even if a resident loses their plot, they aren't nessecarily kicked from the town. Most larger towns use this.

If I were you I'd name your town "New Athens" because there was an Athens that is present-day Ravenna

Imo districts are bad, it splits the town up and makes it feel small

    My tip:

Pick good town staff! They can become your best friends and help you run your town if picked well!

Qazini picked very good, stable help and so peachstreet became very prosperous despite any good builds or staff in the town

My advice is first getting an extra 50k or so to deposit in your town bank.
Also, figure out the before doing anything (prebuilt or empty or both, town taxes, etc.)
Finally and most importantly: Gather staff beforehand, some people you trust to help you start & run a town

Do /t rank add (player) (rank)
To remove them do /t rank remove (player) (rank)
Be sure you trust someone before you add them to a staff role, and I suggest starting people who you're not familiar with at the bottom of the hierarchy to get to know them and know how trustworthy they are. Recognize the different powers each town rank has, so that you know who's capable of doing what.
